Seems to Azhar start playing his shoot. I trust more on these 2 than Umar, Akmal and Malik

Does Azhar Ali know where his off stump is? No need to play at that and yet another pleasing 30 odd comes to an end.

Kamina Watson again! what is wrong with our batsmen?

Was bound to happen, at least 4-5 balls had threatened to kiss that edge already in this innings.

I hope we make at least 250 or the bowling effort will go wasted. Need a 150+ lead at least.

It seems that not a single batsman is capable of playing a long inning, forget a long inning they cannot not make a 50 although there is hardly any pressure on these batsmen.

oh come on Umar Akmal, don't do the same thing you did last time.

Though that was a quality shot.

It is getting really dark out there, umpires should offer the light to batsmen

umar is capable of playing a long innings I'd say, he just plays silly shots sometimes.

Azhar doesn't look like he could in difficult conditions, neither does Amin. It's because both of those don't really ease and become secure, they always look cautious throughout the innings. Probably to the fact that they're debutants and they're nervous.

That's one good thing about u.akmal's over confidence. It does make it more likely that he'll get a big innings.

smith a overrated bowler,
no one rates him much in the first place.

Even Aussies are of the opinion that he is picked in the hope of just transforming into just an average spinner. Australia don't have many spin options really, so it's not surprise that Smith's not that great.

Umar Akmal is just something else, isn't he?

What confidence and absolute disrespect of Smith.

I can't complain, I love watching him smash bowlers around.

Thank god it's stumps (well probably unless light gets better) before North the destroyer came on and finished us off.

What a day for Pakistan, poised on the precipice now, we're miles in front.

This test has Sydney written all over it...Aussies collapse first innings, Pakistan start well in their first innings...only to see a collapse and with T20 specialist Umar Akmal slogging Smith for the six, the collapse in indeed inevitable...

You might be right .....:(

60 runs ahead with 7 wickets in hand. What kind of lead do you guys think is realisitic? 100, 150, 200? Do we have enough to stretch it to 300 all out?

I'd be happy if Pakistan makes 250 or could get a lead of 200 or so.

I think 150 is a mere formality from here, unless the conditions are as good tomorow as they were this morning (for bowling). We should be good for at least a 200 run lead.

*Yawns*

A 60 run lead with a long tail about to be exposed is hardly miles in front.

7 wickets in hand, first innings lead of somewhere between 100-150 is priceless. Australia will need to make in excess of 300 in the 2nd innings (where they got 88 in the 1st innings) to even be competitive.
