You look at why a city when I was growing up in it used to have full houses is not able to get people in for love/money.
You spend time understanding the issue then make arrangements to bring people back.
What arrangements are required?

I agree with the suggestion actually. In India, people in big cities were exhausted with IPL etc and test cricket had poor crowd. BCCI included 2nd tier cities for test cricket it helped a lot.

The lack of security checks to get in was pathetic. I parked my car in front of the stadium and was on my seat in less than 5 minutes
What!? I was reading there was like 11 checkpoints to get in. This is a concern. What was it like in PSL?The lack of security checks to get in was pathetic. I parked my car in front of the stadium and was on my seat in less than 5 minutes during which I showed my tickets and went through a flimsy metal detector.
It was so lax my friends smuggled in all sorts of contraband. Ammunition wouldn't have been too hard to bring in either.
My stand was quite full but all the rest were less than half occupied. It was very hot and the cricket was putting people to sleep when the spinners were on.
There were quite a few Aussies in different groups most of whom reside in the city. The crowd did there best but for long periods the game was too dead and most people only watched 1-2 sessions at the start or end of the day.

PSL was much more strict with lots of security checks inside the stadium.
Today no one asked me for my ID or vaccine certification even once. Just checked my ticket outside the stadium and before entering the stand. Was surprised after hearing about all the hassle in Pindi.
Really?! I am finding that hard to believe as an ex-karachite.
That's weird. For other people who watched the game I'm reading that they had a lot of security checkpoints to go through. So not sure what's going on.
I went to Stadium today arrived at 11 am and left before tea. Poor conditions seats were dirty and viewing experience was the worst. Only those will enjoy who will have a luxury of VIP stands.

The other guy above said that there was not many security checkpoints. What about you, did you have to go through a lot of security? Just curious
Yes security was not as strict as I expected. Is Sindh Govt doing it deliberately? I hope not because any small incident outside stadium might create problems.
Are the crutors not competent enough to make better pitches or do the management want these pitches.
a bit of both im guessing, lets not forget the curators have had a decade of preparing only domestic pitches and by and large got away with a lot of rubbish surfaces, but then rambo made a video saying he wanted slow tracks too.
even before the shift to the uae pakistan made some horrendously flat pitches, but back then pak wasnt the only country.
Really disappointing from Lohare fans I expected more
It's not lahore le crowd's fault... When you have produced two of the most boring test matches on roads in last two weeks, what else you expect from crowd??? Had Pakistan won both or even 1 test, it would have been a full house for sure... Its PCB who is at fault who are so timid in their approach as usual...
This is why Pindi is the best crowd by far. Pindi should always get a test from now on. Great atmosphere and when they let the pitch be how it's supposed to be, great cricket too.
No way people are going to show up for a test match on a week day. To fairly judge Lahore's crowd, this test should have had at least one day of the weekend.
ODIs and the T20 would be packed.
I really wish they would removed barbed wires from stadiums in Pakistan! Looks so 1920s
The stadium looks quite empty, I thought with the ODI’s would be a sell out. Are we expecting more people in?

LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has banned the fans from bringing Vuvuzela horns in the stadium ahead of the second ODI between Pakistan and Australia, here on Thursday.
The PCB has installed a number of banners under the premises of Gaddafi Stadium to prohibit the fans from bringing the vuvuzela horns.
“Horns are not allowed in the stadium,” the statement on the banners read.
According to the details, the cricket board has decided to prohibit the use of horns in response to complaints from match officials and players who claim that the noise of the horns prevents them from concentrating on the game.
It is pertinent to mention here that the second ODI between Pakistan and Australia will be played today here at the Gaddafi Stadium. The touring side lead the three-match series 1-0.

Day time temperature of 36C with no shade. Tough for spectators let alone players. It's also the start of Ramadan although not sure if they are observing today in Pakistan.
Nice to see the young fan in the crowd today "James" holding up the sign saying he's flown in all the way from Ireland to watch Babar Azam bat
