Gul is back and will be hoping to get his name on the honours board. Just needs one more wicket.
 
Why is Pakistan's slow death here today as unsurprising as Emile Heskey's international retirement ?

This was always gonna happen all cos of one reason.We cant focus for 5 days.We cant concentrate for that long a duration.Its like watching a bunch of kids with no attention span.
 
Gul bowling with more energy than any other player out there at the moment. Asif and even Aamer have looked a bit flat.

Very disapointed with Afridi's bowling I must say.

What is Rameez rambling on about now? The ball is very old, the lead is huge, Paine looks very comfortable, any captain would rather attack Hilfun and be defensive agianst Paine at this stage.
 
brainless captaincy by afridi at the moment...........paine is only playing his 1st tetst and all the fielders are sleeping on the boundary......no pressure been applied at all...........
 
Any hope that pak can chase down 400 runs?

It will depend on the openers, akmals and afridi big time.

Maybe but some Pakistani captains would get blasted by every section of the media and fans for doing it while other captains won't. :moyo :malik :yk :afridi :inzi
 
Afridi is fine, it is the bowling talent. Dani can only get wickets after every 60 runs and that also of tail enders, why did they play 2 leg spinners when Australia has so many left hand batters
 
there is no plan whatsoever....last ball of the over u would wanna keep hilfi on strike but what does SMART gul do...ball on Paine's legs for an easy single...BS

Best pakistan has chased is 317 so it is a lost cause they are going to lose
 
if kaneria cant bowl out even tailender..........why have we played him.............he cant bat .......cant field..........and cant bowl..............
whats the point............ajmal is much better choice these days

i dont why kaneria is in the test team....he leaks too many runs n doesnt take enough wickets...as a spinner in tests you have to inexpensive first...ajmal is the way to go...and he has more grit then kaneria who is a panzy at best
 
In a way its good we aint gonna b chasing 200-250 or so ... Because our batsmen are highly capable of nto chasing anything above 150...

Indeed chasing a small total would have been pain for all the fans when all of sudden the whole team would have collapsed from something like 72-1 to 130-8 :D
 
This is a real indication of application by the tail, the sort of tough scramble the aussie have become kings of.

They will NEVER give a game away without it being wrestled from them.

Higlights the brutal selfish stupidness of Afridi's innings
 
there is no one in the team who can say "captain i will do it. give me ball" .. :(
 
Poor captaincy from Afridi since getting the wickets of Katich and North.

There are no close in fielders on the leg side to save that single which both Hilfy and Paine are taking with ease every now and then. Defensive tactics when they were least needed.

ajmal, like Afridi is not a test bowler. t20 performances is not an indication of test form
 
Can you guys stop the crying and posting nothing but negative crap? I don't know why I even bother coming on to PP during a match. there is nothing but pain here. All you whiners need to get a freaking life.
 
I really think we should stick to playing tier 2 teams like Bangladesh. We do not belong on the same park as Aussies. This is an embarrasing mismatch. Embarrasing for us. Embarrasing for our country to see us getting smashed like this against Aussies every time we play them. Let's face it....we are a very poor team and should stick to playing other poor teams.
 
Yep exactly. Afridi and someone like Azhar could have bowled a bit when there's clearly no help for Gul and Aamer. Should have kept more fielders in and attacked them even if ther were 8 down.
 
It seems like Pakistani captains need schooling about Cricket logic, this is just plain stupid...
 
Really impressed with Afridi, leading from the front. ;-)

Is he really that much better than Yousuf?

Dont over estimate Afridi..he has this much intelligence only....you should have known that from his batting last day
 
highest partnership of the innings...BRAVO...we should pack our bags and play afghanistan in kandahar thats what we deserve...why are we in denial

Let alone chase a score above 350.
