Pakistan go into lunch on 216-4

They need another runs to win with 5 sessions remaining (aprrox 150 overs)
 
umar has singlehandedly lost us test matches in the past 6/7 months bc of his over confidence

why can't some1 talk to him about humbleness?
 
well it was expected Omer was trying his best to help aussies.
 
urghhhhhh! that stupid cut shot with a few balls before lunch. If he wants to be a test player he really needs to sort himself out.

You were right mate, he does gift u his wicket, but as do the rest of the team.

We could have really fought hard and took it close but he had other plans.
 
Umar Akmal is definitely Kamran's brother... lots of batting talent but he doesnt know how to make the most of it.
 
When he pulls it off, it's brilliant :))

Poor stuff from Umar Akmal. Was bound to happen the way he was thrashing and going after the bowling.

Just depends now how close Pakistan get to 300-350. Game is over!

Why do our players get so over confident. pathetic shot under the circumstance. If guys like North are getting wickets our batsmen need to be shot. This is not a 20/20 game for crying out loud. Waqar should have a real go out Akmal for that.
 
Some people in our side don't realize it's absolutely criminal to get out in the last over before a break. That's the game to Australia too, Kamran should only be coming in when we're around at the 350 mark, not the 215 mark!

Pakistan need to string one partnership & this game could change again towards Pakistan. Umin is in & now has to put a score of 80 odd here.

I have a feeling Kamran & Afridi will suprise a few lot here in the 2nd inning.

PS- if Australian tail can wag why can't Pak?
 
No excuse for both Salman and Umar Akmal's dismissals. Lack of concentration against a part time bowler.

Pak have a habit making unknown entities into somebodies - be it bringthem back into form with the bat or let them get wkts against us.
 
1) Over before break? Check.
2) Part-time bowler? Check.
3) Australian spinner? Check.

So frustrating giving the wickets away to a fringe bowler if it was one of their top men striking fair enough, but this is a missed oppurtunity a flat pitch nothing it in and marcus north?!!? will get a 5fer...
 
idiots like Akmal think they are too good. What a plonker. With that attitude no way hes gona be any where near the class of inzi or yousuf.

A win was never really on! but to lose wickets as we have has been poor!
 
guys we have no mental strength...on top we think we are the next best thing that happened to this world...we show such over confidence like we have never lost a match....instead of being humble we show cockiness...don't worry Allah is watching n he doesn't like arrogant fools such as what this akmal is becoming...pathetic

Have you seen our tail? Kaneria and Asif can't even hold the bat properly.

Aamer, and Gul to some extent are the only one that can bat a bit.

Sadly it gameover as expected without the aussie bowling well. Stupid batsmen keep throwing there wickets away. If this continues cant see us winning a test match in the near future against anyside

Aslong as rest of Batting put up a fight and we go down fighting am happy!
 
Fans deserve some of the credit for this dismissal though

We've made Shahid Afridi a national hero because of his batting style

All the young batsmen emerging from Pakistan want the same popularity and quite frankly, few can pull it off.
 
Ok Folks.....now will you please please stop hyping Umar Akmal and accept my opinion that this guy is the MOST OVER-RATED PLAYER in world cricket?

As I keep telling you.... he will be shown up big time on this tour. Last over before lunch - and yes.....another BRAINLESS shot. To be fair to him.....he looked dodgy out there in his brief stay and it was going to be a matter of time before the wicket went.

So....I will repeat again. Umar Akmal will not reach 40 in the tests.

I was gutted for Butt tho. He threw his wicket away - but he played a class knock. Our one test player. Anyway.... my prediction is coming true. Game over in one hour.
 
just think how costly are the runs that we gave away to hilfenhaus and bollinger .........
 
Just for that stupid shot If I was waqar I would drop Akmal from the next test. That would teach him a lesson. No need for that nonsense. If it was a 20/20 or a ODI than thats understandable but in tests that unforgivable
 
It's frustrating when they give away wickets like this...at least get out to a good delivery or a good bowler.

Keep fighting...Need a hundred partnership from Kamran and Umar....
 
Hopefully Afridi will rip Umar a new one during lunch. Drop him from the next match and send a clear message to all the players.

Looks tough now, akmal should come in next. We need 100-150 run partnership.
 
we already have one afridi who slogs away so there is no need for another one.
 
i knew when he was going for sixes in the last couple of overs that it was only a matter of time. what a joker!

Kinda would be sad though - considering Umar could tell Afridi to go bat that way himself before ranting. :(
