All they needs are 4-5 singles from Bracken without losing wicket; then they could score 6+ from fifth bowler. Two set batsmen with 50 scores each could do it.
 
Hopefully they will be known as the 2M's. That'll have meant they were sucessful.
 
Winning with 6 wickets will also be called "Pakistan edge Australia" lets see what cricinfo hindus writers will say about this win.

Still we need to improve the top order batting, but the middle order is playing well which is a big plus.

Not talent wise but temparement wise he is equal to Inzi and little better than Muhammad Yousuf.
 
I just hope to God our openers start scoring for a change. We cannot keep on expecting the middle order to bail out everytime.

Misbah even though you are 33 you are the find of the tournament. Classic inning no rash shot build it up and explosive in the end. Amazing!!

Malik, has done something which his predecessors could not manage in 3-4 years.......BEAT AUSTRALIA, yes it was only a 20/20 but, take a look at their bowling attack and form batsman and you will find a well-deserved victory.

AWESOME!!.. what a victory..i had my doubts about misbah replacing yusuf but he's proved hi mettle..our middle order looks back to its best..hopefully yusuf comes back for the tests and wuith misbah we have a formidable lineup...

Every one played an important role execpt BUTTS.
Tanvir three important wickets. Afridi almost two wickets of dangerous Symond and Ponting. Hafeez wicket of Hussey. Gul/Asif/Tanvir bowling at death. Excellent team effort.

Pakistan needs to bring in FAWAD for BUTT, otherwise all good. Butt fielding crappy and batting nto for this form of the game.
 
Malik really stood up to the aussies today. He took them on almost immediately and played one of the great captains innings.
 
what a great win for pakistan and the team ,Malik lead from the front and Misbah was just imeculate ............. congrates to the team and to all the pakistani.
 
how many years has it been since we beat australia ? must be about 6-y years now.
 
Pakistani actually played like a team ,new captain ,new team,new coach ......... seems to be working together for the same goal .............. A WIN.
 
Yes, Misbah and Malik were BIG factors but the biggest factor was Sohail.....................getting rid of opener cheaply!
He was my MOM!


If our top order had clicked, 160 was easily getable!
 
Its not just the win against Aussies rather it is strategy, calmness and discipline with which they won. But there is still ONE AUSSIES WHO WON TODAY and that is PAKISTAN COACH.

Misbah was on the scene since quite some time, and no body has doubt in his skills except his age factor or being a replacement of Yousaf, but Suhail Tanvir with only 21 first class matches is a find of the tournament especially for ODI matches with his alround abilities.

maybe a chance to unleash the beast and give some rest to butt and nazir.

We need to play Fawad for sure, maybe Arafat and give them both a chance to bat to see what they can do.

we're almost through to semis...not quite yet...

if Bangla beat Sri Lanka and us, and Aus beat Lanka...then Bangladesh, Australia and us will all have 4 pts and then the net run rate will be taken into consideration...

but of course this is most likely not gonna happen...Bangladesh beating both us and Sri Lanka is a bit too much
