Asif is the most over-rated pakistani bowler of all time.
I simply do not get it why some people hype him up so much.
I am 100% certain, overall in England he will be the weakest link in the bowling.

he produces a lot of swing on England pitches :inti

He is a great test bowler who will be our key to victory in England.

He's hyped because he's an excellent test bowler and helped us to win big matches. He hasn't been able to replicate that in ODIs throughout his career thus far.

Quite true!

Maybe in ODI's but the guy is class for tests.

Selectors made the right move for sure by not selecting Akhtar for the tests - at least based on his current fitness levels.

He looks exhausted after 3-4 overs.

He's fine for T20's and important ODI's thats about it!

lol at Cricinfo fan - 'Imrul is showing too much respect'. No, Akhtar is just too good for him.

:akhtar :akhtar

Asif needs to try and get some in the block holes while he gets cartered around

Something he needs to work on

Bangladesh | 1/39 | 8 Overs | Shoaib Akhtar 0/2, Mohammad Asif 1/36

:afridi was going for the batsman, not for the run out. The Beast is in mood today.

Really? Was he gone with a direct hit?

Mind watching the replay?

Asif goes for runs but he is a wicket taking bowler. I'll wager that he will be Pakistan's most dangerous bowler in the seaming/swinging conditions of England.

Tamim is the best bat in the Bangladesh line-up. Asif has removed him, cue the collapse.

The question is when, since his comeback this time around he has looked a shadow of himself. Hopefully, for the sake of Pakistan I hope you are right.

Yeah I guess you missed the entire Australia/NZ series :))

I do not think we are seeing the same Asif, not since his layoff.
Ok in some of the test he has performed but he is not close to what he used to be.

He bowled well against NZ (setting up the win with a 5-for) in NZ, plus took a 5-for against Aus in Aus if I remember correctly.
