england will keep playing their shots due to their long batting line up in place.
 
Replace Rashid with Anwar in my fantasy team at the last minute. Good call, I think.
 
We havent let england utilize power play at all which they did so well vs NZ and Aus.
 
Both these players like to be aggresive and play a shot a ball at times so if we can dry up the runs a false shot and wicket will arrive.
 
Despite his 2 wickets Anwar Ali has bowled some utter rubbish in between.

Why is that the case? Can't they open with proper batsman?

He wont open. They only showed that because he opened vs zim. Itll be hafeez and azhar

Yeah lets discount the importance of his two wickets, one of them being Root; probably the best bat in the opposition lineup, just because one random poster needs to feel good about his subjective opinion. :facepalm: Seriously, we need to stop this Anwar Ali hatred just because he does not share the same domicile with some of you guys.
 
I reckon Asif will bat 7 after Sarfraz and be used as lower order hitter role

The two wickets were vital but its like watching a left arm version of malcolm sami bowl, at this level you cant bowl 1 bad ball an over to international batsmen, its nothing to do with hate!

To be fair to this the above argument, why was the entire PP hell bent on bringing Wahab back when he was being sidelined earlier was also the reason that in between his shocker of deliveries he does bowl some decent wicket taking ones and that is why we needed him in the side. Now don't go and say that Wahab has the extra pace as an X-factor because in Anwar's case he has his variations which can prove vital for these type of pitches.

The guy just came back from an injury, let him at least settle first.
 
3 Spinners need to dry up the runs here and get us a few wickets, we can go through motions and let england rebuild to much here.
 
Need to get Morgan out here, seems to always do well against us.
 
Taylor will milk the singles all day long. Azhar gone on the defensive far too quickly.

Thank god Waqar had a word with Azhar. Was captaincy at its worst there for a couple of overs.

England are a better ODI team under Morgan. Heavy defeat on the cards now. Its frustrating how we nearly always tend to relax after taking 2-3 quick wickets. We have allowed the English batsmen to settle rather than going for the kill. And given our poor record in chasing totals I believe I am being quite reasonable in my prediction.

He's kind of an allrounder in a way, and believe it or not, he got me a lot of points in the first 2 tests, (although persisting with him for the 3rd test was a bad move)

Also made Morgan captain at last moment today :misbah

"Negative captaincy" its not negative captaincy from opposition when our batsmen take singles on a spinner.

Great ball wahab. Instead of always blaming captain realize that the bowlers job is to get wickets. True though we let game slip a bit but its still in our hand
