Plunkett is pretty quick these days, baffling why they took him on this tour yet dropped him for the South Africa Test squad given he'll play on more favourable wickets.
 
We're exactly the same as England, but we have no batsmen like England to settle this lineup.

Honestly feel bad for afridi. Guy gave chances to the top two domestic players in Riffat and Imran khan and they havent set the world alight. We still have two t20s to go. So lets wait out.

how pathetic are our domestics then, no?

Still, Yameen should be playing, Zafar should be selected. And for god's sake let's stop with this joke that there's no room for Amir in our bowling attack.
 
hack or no hack, refat is not international quality period...

Neither is mukhtar (although he scored lots against zimbabwe) or bilal

Absolutely everyone on this board knows your agenda.

Sarfraz has been in terrible form. He's getting fatter every day. There is NO excuse for that as a professional cricketer. NONE.

He has a point though. I'm against him but Not many other options. And Sarfaraz plays spin well so maybe might contribute in India.

We really don't have options. Also Rizwan is not a good keeper and makes Sarfaraz look amazing but maybe might just do the job in t20s who knows
 
Maqsood in. the captain and his beloved akmal hiding behind juniors in difficult times.

Afridi being playing for 15 years dont have balls to lead from front. Same goes to akmal.

Lets give them two more chances. They deserve those for showing performance in domestic tournament.
 
come on Maqsood, big fan and always supported him, don't let me down by playing stupid shots and going berserk for no reason

as far as the game goes right now, need a big partnership and these 2 to go on for at least 50 runs with a decent RR

not that confident with akmal at 6 and afridi
 
All English bowlers are quite tall and can bowl 90 Mph, impressive!!

I have seen so many socalled hitters in domestic cricket look like silly tailenders against England.
Shahzaib Ahmed, Awais Zia, Bilal Asif and noe Rafatullah. They just can not play this pace.

I do think Riffat deserves another chance. Debut at 40? I excuse him for being nervy. But Imran Khan I really don't think does. Yameen is a better bowler, and better with the bat, and that's what you need in T20s.

Many won't admit it but Shehzad is easily the best opener we have right now. :))

That's actually true, Iftikhar, Riffat and Imran all didn't seem anything special. Just shows how crappy our domestic cricket is. :afaq
 
The selection of Rafatullah epitomizes the sad state of Pakistan domestic cricket, compare that to India, every Indian youngster/debutant looks technically solid even if he's not getting runs because the quality of domestic cricket in top class and a player coming through the ranks is technically equipped to face the challenge on international level.
 
Riffat should play the other matches (not many openers in the squad anyway) but I don't see IK jr. surviving long.
 
nasir jamshed and mohammad sami have enough quality to walk into this team compared to some of the players that are selected... they should be in uae and not bangladesh now
