Pakistan v England | 1st T20I | NSK | 20 September 2022 | Pakistan innings

It's Babar and Rizwan or bust. Been like that for 2 years. And right now it's Rizwan or bust. Imagine if bonth Babar and Rizwan go out of form at the same time. For the past 1 month, I have been continuously hearing about why Haider needs to play. He is another rubbish batsman as are 99% of the batsmen in Pakistan.

Admit it

Misbah unnecessarily destroyed a good no.1 T20 side for no reason

Why have our spin playing abilities become minnow level ?

Lack of exposure to quality spin at young age ? Years of green seamers in FC cricket ?

When the true 3 and 4 bat as openers

This is what happens

Ash karo mere dosto.

Down trend started after both got out. It only reinforces the point that we are dependent on them to win

Yes Rizwan is supposed to score a hundred every game

When did he score a t20I hundred?lol
Anyway the point is not his amount of runs but his pathetic mindset of tuk tuk in the middle overs sucking up the momentum. When he is set he should be the one to take the charge but he bats like he is batting in an ODI.

What a mess they are making after a decent start.

Are they batsmen or Gilli danda players? Sharamful performance.

Our team doesn't even have the confidence to bat out 120 balls :)))

We need to "build the innings"...we need "anchors"... We need to "set up the platform for lower order"

What a terrible approach to T20s

17 balls remaining. Thats what Khushdil takes to get a feel of the conditions...

Batting as an opener is easy

We need responsibility from our ‘best players’ in the middle

Be a man and bat in those positions!

Shan looked so disorganised. Deer infront of headlights situation tbh.

Demolition man in, hang onto your seats, its gonna be carnage!

These full tosses should be going for atleast a boundary

He was trying just doesn’t have the power. But I need to be very clueless as a fan if I start complaining about his 150 SR innings in a batting line up like ours

He scored 104 not out in 64 balls against SA. Rest of the team scored 65 runs. A match they won all due to Rizwan.

This is what is problematic.

All guns out after Haider fails 1st game on his return?

The attitude of fans too contributes to our safety 1st approach.

I don't have a problem with Haider failing today. I can understand the failure given its his first match for a long time. The problem is I know the history of Haider. He has been transformed by "coaches" to become a proper batsman who can hit cover drives. However Haider in his natural habitat is a hack and should've remained a hack because that's how he scored his runs. His SR went from 160 to 110 because he was transformed into a "proper" batsman.

The approach today was problematic. He came in when Pakistan needed to keep up with the run-rate and all he did was score 11 off 12. He could've tried to hit out and got out which would've been better.

The "terrible approach" you frown upon has won us more games than the gung ho approach you advocate. Let's wait and see how the English batsmen play on this pitch before we pass sentence.

Yeah...others are here just to chill.

As usual, people criticising the only guy who has actually scored

66 of 44 is 150 SR...not exactly 'sucking the momentum' stuff.

The real culprits today are Haider, Shan and others who couldn't capitalise on a solid platform of 87/0 in 10 ovs

Easy money for Saqlain doing nothing. This gi=uy should have some pride and resign instead of being a puppet.

Key in T20 cricket is to go all out when you are set. If you delay that then not only sometimes you fail to accelerate later but, you also leave very less number of balls for other batsmen to get set and deliver much. So issue as said is the overs 7-15

It feels like we've gone back 10 years and are now starting to learn how to play T20s.

I am convinced Pakistan can try Khushdil at 6 in Test cricket

If it's so easy then why did Pakistan had usual starts of 30/3 pre Babar-Rizwan

Iftikhar what a talentless hack he is proving out to be.

Iftikhar is much better in trio... Then asif... Worst is Khushdil shah
He lines everything to midwicket Khushdil Shah. Looks like student of Awais Zia. Even he had some good innings to show off. This guy is pure rubbish. His loser attitude is so downer as a fan

I think everyone is giving criticism as they thought the pitch was hard and was a high scoring pitch......turned out to be a slower one and hard to time......it might still be a good score if we can get 160 plus

Pitch was different early on or the batting became crap ?

Seemed like it came onto the bat really nicely with the new ball. Got slower as the ball got old and hitting slower balls seems tough right now.

I think we're the only side that goes in reverse in T20s. When we start strong, we slow down and then nose dive at the end :)))

I mean, he did eff up the mentality of our cricketers...but we've had enough time since then for folks like Sarfraz and Babar to turn things around.

What? No! Playing for places has been problem way prior to Misbah

Eng will chase this in 15 overs. This is 50 runs short. 10 overs 90 odd with 9 wickets in hand you score just 60 in next 10. This is terrible finish as usual by Pakistan

Sport, formats keep on evolving and if you don’t adapt and evolve accordingly then you are going to struggle in the long run.

Disappointing that was caught. Looked to be a six and he should have hit that for a six.

Still, good stuff from Iftikhar considering how most of our batsmen played.
