Lack of pace and bounce in wicket, although now there are signs of reverse swing and some life....

Inzi needs to launch a bounter attack now! Go Inzi!

No need for a counter attack. Just keep rotating the strike. 1s/2s etc

Ahem.

Inzamam Inzamam, riding through the glen
Inzamam Inzamam and his merry men
He beats up the Aussies
and kicks out the Poms
Inzamaaam Inzamaaam

Score predictions? I think we will get a below par 350 odd.

a little more faith, Kashif bhai!
we've only had one bad partnership so far, though the batsmen have been pegged down for a fair bit now.

Pakistan digging a hole for themselves with a very negative attitude during this session. Instead of trying to grab the game by the scruff of its neck, they have let the oposition back into the match.

Yeap It important not to lose any more poles this session then they need to take it to them in the 3rd session like they did session 1

and i blame butt for this , 180 balls for 70 runs , on a the flattest track in the world .

salaam guys

just got up can u just gimme a basic rundown of wats happend

- Both openers make decent starts...Butt making 74, Malik making 39 both ou t on rash shots

- Miggy making predictions that Butt will score century, and gets out on next ball

- Miggy threatens to ban anyone who makes fun of him for that thread

- Miggy subsequently begins MoYo that he will make first century as a Muslim....Sadly gets yorked next ball by FF...

- MoYo yorked on good ball by FF

- Miggy begins his wrist cutting ceremony....

On a side note, Rameez isn't wearing his trademark pink shirt.....

- YK playing sensibly on 35

- Inzi has yet to do anything

i think they are probably playing for tea now. In my opinion they should have been more positive before the ball started reversing, now its going to be difficult to play freddie although no jones is a BIG bonus

jazakallah zushy

i think miggy literally did put the kiss of death on 2 of them

miggy how much is that kiss costing u

thats how good Udal is - huge 6 by Inzi. First time someone has used their feet to the spinners

62.1 Udal to Inzamam, SIX!!, comes down the track and lofts it over long on, that was big big hit, it went very high

whois the daddy

inzi slaps udal for 6 - he just strolled down the wicket - last over before tea

As saj put it earlier - using ur feet is key particularly to udal

Finally.....

Howz Udal bowling?? I would have thought that the Pakistanis would show more agression against him

loud cheers from the Multanis for their local hero as he hits a four through point.

62.4 Udal to Inzamam, FOUR!!, goes on the backfoot and cuts it square of the wicket, good cut shot

come on inzi

no predivctions miggy

78 for 2 in that session as England fight back. Whilst England deserve credit for their discipline, Pakistan went into their shells for some bizarre reason.

An over in the life of Inzamam-ul-Haq

BANG!
Ooh
Whooooops
THWACK!
Nah.
Grub's up.

whats the crowd like? many barmy army members? have the free tickets been a success?

I agree Saj I still feel Pakistan have the slight edge at this stage but the final session will be crucial it a relatively short session so ideally lose no wickets maximum loss would be 1 i reckon

Haven't seen any yet.....The ground is decently full though, more people then I've seen during pakistan-india series last year.....Sky is occupied in showing the beautiful scenery of Multan ;-)

well comparing it to the india pak matches isnt saying much but % wise how much of the ground would you say has filled?

thats pretty good, although their fears about slow and boring test cricket may well have been confirmed after watching the day's play.

Ah well atleast they have inzi's batting to look forward to....

I think we are one good partnershop away from a score of 400. By good i mean 100+. Lets see what these 2 can conjure up.

ok only just woke up lol. pakistan seem to have done alright. Just saw butts wicket i think he could have gone on to make a big hundred. now alot of presure on inzy, younis khan and raza hopefully they will get hundreds!

Inzi and Younis the key to a big total for Pakistan. Raza and Kamran can chip in and i expect Sami and Shoaib to make a few runs as well.

Inzi and Younis walking out now to the middle. Play about to recommence.

Yessss got im'!

Great delivery from Bowden as the finger went up in a perfect arc, totally ignoring the inside edge.

What a cricketer he is.

Bowden strikes again. Inside edge and he gives YK out. Thats 2 wickets for Bowden today - he's bowling a good spell.

Make use of technoogy, get the 3rd umpire involved in these decisions NOW

lots of pressure on hassan now. boy oh boy, that looked like an inside edge. younis even showed the umpire his bat if that counts for anything anymore.

Pakistan's think tank (yeh right lol) must be regretting the omission of afridi now. THe conditions and pitch were ideal for him to score a 60-ball ton. Had he opened, PAK would have cruised along and all this self-inflicted pressure would have been non-existent. We'll also miss his variety of speed and bag of tricks when we bowl. Only contravention of convention brings about decisive turns in such wars of attrition. And who better to break the will of the opposition than afridi. But there you go, another blunder by our selectors.

Actually that's not as bad as I thought it was. It still shouldn't have been given out but it wasn't quite clear cut. There was more than enough doubt there to turn that decision down though.

Who the hell hired Bowden the first place? This is not the first time he's done this. He's turning out to be 2nd David Shephard for Pakistan.
