Pakistan V England, 1st Test Day 1 [13/11/05]

Nadeem Bhai - in a tesyt match a quick 60 means nothing if the rest of the batting order collapses like a house of cards! Shoaib Malik has done well - he gave Pak a good start - nothing more nothing less
 
Yeah, DON'T PLAY KAMAL COS HE'S IN POOR FORM.

Where's all the Kamal haters gone now?

Huge ifs and buts about Afridi getting a 60 ball 100 with Harmison swinging the ball (especially since he prefers batting at 6). Bowling will be missed, yes.

Good on Harmison though. Confidence will be high now.

What the hell is wrong with our team? Finally the openers give a solid foundation, and our apparently strong middle order takes it easy and collapses.

how do we know kamal would not have gotten out for 0 from what we saw of kamal's form he probably would have
 
Inzi and Kamran need to consolidate now or that good start is going to evaporate.
 
should have played afridi for him... atleast afridi can bowl.. we picked
4 spinners in our squad.. kaneria.. mushy.. arshad khan.. afridi.. yet only
one of them plays.. you would expect atleast 2 play 2... with the 2nd being afridi...
 
And then people tell us that Inzi doesnt have guts etc...what can we do without him ? exactly what ?
 
I wouldn't get too worried.

I sense a Shoaib special and an England batting collapse on the horizon.

(He'll break down in the 14th over and be out for the rest of the series after that mind)

Shame that I've been saying Kamal has the number 6 spot locked down for over a year so there's no hindsight about it

As I've been saying for weeks you drop someone from the test team when their test form suffers, I couldn't care less about meaningless warmup matches

inzi needs to play one of his special innings.. and stay there
until the end.. inshallah we can still make a decent score...
 
shukriya miggy. hasan does deserve a phainty to calm him down a bit. playing big cover drives so early on in his innings. is that how he made 70 in the A game?
 
why are you interested in india sri lanka match it is obvious what is going to happen there
 
I cant belive you people Hasan has one failiure and everyone is after his neck, even the best batsmen get out quickly if anyone deserves to be cursed its the top three Butt, Malik and Younis Khan, you get in on a flat track and then throw your wicket away that is where the problem is. Even Dravid gets out on yorkers early in his innings does that mean you kick him out?

i will judge raza on second innings before i make a comment.
 
any thoughts on pushing inzi up to #4. was a little surprised to see Youhana coming in ahead of him.
 
I say let Raza play the entire series before passing judgements. That's the only logicial way of finding of whether he's good enough.

its swinging around a bit and the england bowlers are pitching it up nicely. yorkers got both youhana and hasan.

Agree with you now that you have gotten him back atleast give the guy a good run before dumping him.

5) akmal on strike now, nicely punched to covers of back foot, 2 runs
6) driven back to the bowler it was in the air for a bit, no run, end of over
 
Brilliant comeback by the English bowlers. Pakistan desperately need an Inzi special. Not boring anymore especially if you're an England fan.
