Azhar is way superior to shehzad as an odi bat. Shehzad plays this innings regularly im afraid.

Seriously if anyone thinks Azhar Ali is a superior batsmen then Shehzad in ODIs then I am afraid you need to stop watching cricket.

Quite hard to be worse than someone averaging 34 at a SR of 72 after being given a consistent run in the team for a couple of years.

Sarfraz should play for a 100 here, just stay there and score another 50, forget the team they lost the game anyway.

If Sachin gets away with it why not Sarf.

Yea, the match was lost so they filled their boots with magnificent fifties. :uakmal

Couldn't quite manage it when it mattered, though. :afridi

Only time they performed when it mattered was the practice matches. Mainly the reason why the averaged 25-30 through out.

50 off 63 balls for Sarfraz, with two fours. In other words, mostly through strike rotation. But no, let's play batsmen that can't rotate strike in the top and middle order.

you know things are bad when number 7 and 8 are your top scorers.

Don't blame Wahab for hitting out, no point in prolonging the agony.

I hope WY doesn't try to fix this by dropping Babar at 7 & bring back Shehzad at opening. Last match, Babar hit 4 sixes, which makes me really uncomfortable - that interprets that Babar can win it from 7 at 10+/over, after all, he is a big failure at top 3.........

That's Khurram's speciality. I remember when he celebrated his 50 against Zimbabwe in that manner and we went on to lose the match.

:))) All our new players do that. I remember last year in the Australia series odis, when Sarf scored his first 50, took helmet off and raised the bat and was yelling.

OK, but did I mention that Khurram's was in a Test match (which we lost to ZIM)? :)))

Hard to beat that.

But yeah, our batsmen obviously like to celebrate their achievements... choti choti khushiyaan.

Yasir rotating the strike better than our top 5

Half way through I remembered the Razzaq innings of 107 against SA at this same venue taking the gummy bears of victory from the proteas , souchne Mei kya jata hai [emoji41]

Hahaha, that is so funny.

Wait, you're serious...

dead serious..him and Rizwan played two most selfish knocks I've seen off late. You just can't give up like that. Very sad to see. These players playing for personal milestones.

No. See. The match was over. The RR was ridiculous with how many wickets were left, all they could do was play for pride.

You know who was selfish? Azhar Ali, Ahmed, Shoaib Malik.

Not these two, ridiculous statement.

This is like Misbah all over again, except that Sarfraz is striking at 85.

Thank God our other batsmen batted like legends.

doesn't change the fact that Sarfraz and Rizwan were already playing to reduce the margin of loss even before the 20th over started. Pathetic mindset.

Malik gave up too knowing it's not a Zimbabwe and a swinging English attack albeit a 60kph trundling one.

It is. But the alternative was to roll over for 75. So take your pick.

Some light moments at the end of the match , Yasir looking like kiddo infront of Irfan and then his six to topley

I wouldn't have a problem if they perished in trying to reach that RR but they really played like chickens..Total waste of time. I know the top order and middle order flopped but these two have been our main part of the batting in the last few months. It was a rubbish display from them.

Rizwan was all at sea against Rashid! Selfish is a harsh word here!

MRSN spewing hate against the two wicket-keepers in the team. Is this a coincidence? I think not.

would have saved a lot of my time. It's amazing to see these two are part of our later order and they can't bat to chase a score at 6 RPO. And people wonder why Umar is rated so highly and will be missed.

What happened to Punjabi players of our team, did they eat sumthing. Just check their contribution in this match.

Let me give you a clue as to the reason behind it. Rizwan and Sarfraz are the reason why the Akmals aren't in the team. ;-)

Funny you mention that. Umar and Maqsood did the EXACT same thing vs. WI in the World Cup.

When Sarfraz came to the crease, the required run rate was 7.5 over 31 overs, with only Anwar left in the hutch. Yeah, stupid losers Sarfraz and Rizwan, couldn't score 220 in 30 overs.

it's not hate. I was genuinely disappointed the way these two had given up when the RR was getable. You go down fighting not playing like chickens. Really wasted many people's time.
