Pakistan fans are always going on about commentators. I've never known a set of fans so obsessed with commentators.

Yeah from a pakistan perspective. First wicketless session of the series.

Need 4 wickets in the last session to compensate!
 
England showing why they are number one.

Still three days left in the match. Anything can happen from now.
 
england can always up their runrate with players like prior, morgan and KP. Once they reach 300 (115) they can launch an attack to get 200 more in next 50. A lead of 250 with two days to go will have Pakistan in trouble.

Well they are the "experts" and it was annoying to listen to the commentary when Pakistan were slowly building their innings after bowling out England cheaply.

So it's fair to ask if they are also criticizing England's turtle approach. Otherwise it's unfair on one part only.

It's a British broadcasting company with English staff, so things come a little too much from one perspective. Some people need to take the commentators less seriously.

Not related to what I quoted but IMO this is terrible cricket by England. Scoring at this rate makes no sense whatsoever. At least be closer to 3. All it will take is 2-3 wickets in a span of 10-15 overs and things will be balanced with loads of pressure on England.

What say you Whippy?

It's not easy to score quickly against these spinners. England are doing fine, bat out the rest of the day & all day tomorrow & we will be in a great position to win this game.

They have all the time they need to pile a lead up. They must be careful though because losing one wicket could mean three on this track. Once they tire Ajmal out they will pick up the rate.

This is proper, tactical batting.
 
why did we not start with Rehman?

Misbah needs to keep his personal vendetta's to himself. Why is Rehman not bowling
 
The big issue here is the incorrect length on a deadly slow wicket.

It needs to be full and fairly straight. Make the batsmen play in areas they don't want: force the cover drive against the spin for Trott and against the angle for Cook

Yes but there is no point in having wickets if you don't take the game away from the other side. Ajmal is capable of bowling an unplayable delivery at any time. England going from 150-1 to 300 all out is a HUGE possibility. Up the scoring rate and lots of good things happen. And I'm not saying play like Sehwag, just not under 2.5 for God's sake.
 
Trott and Cook are boring as hell to watch, but very effective and hard to get out once in.
 
Gul back on lol.. seems a gut instinct move more than anything.
 
Looks like misbah wanted to continue with the spinners but YK put on an argument to get gul back on...
 
may be misbah dont have plan B, he must have thought hafeez wil take care of lefties all the time.

Its possible aye, but i'd rather these two just play their natural games. KP, Prior, Bell are all capable of batting quickly.

Anyway, now that these two have laid the foundations, expect Bell to come in & hit a run a ball ton.
 
Gul def struggling with something - he is not putting enough behind the ball.
 
Gul has some sort of niggle by the looks of it, still struggling.
 
very ordinary display by pakistan. Seems like the first game was just a blip for England. How on earth did we manage to get out for only 257 on the flattest of wickets ?

Our tail is just terrible. cant even must 10 runs between them. really feeble effort.

If we dont improve drastically in batting then it will be 2-1 Poms and Sir Ian Botham and the rest of the gang will be proved right in his comments saying it was just a blip in the first game and they were caught cold.
 
Physio coming out for Gul...great now we will be bowler short...Azhar better start warming up!

No signs of reverse though, hardly no movement off the pitch for the seamers, very little spin, and the pitch is slow as well.

England will get around 400 from here I reckon unless they throw it away.
 
Both tuk tukkers have a chance of getting their centuries tonight.
 
139 now.. Did the physio give him one of Asif's 'special pills'? Actually seems to be making an effort now as opposed to his previous over where he was just going thru the motions.
 
That strapping has added 10ks to Gul's bowling. Need to cover Wahab's leg in it and recall him. :akhtar

If we dont get our ***** in gear in our batting then it will be 2-1 to the Poms. Younis Khan seriously needs to wake up and start performing when it really matters.

He is by far the most experienced player from both sides.

Needs to score next innings. This is a flat deck and If England can do it why not him. Big runs are needed in the 2nd innings from our top 5 because 7-11 of our batsmen cant hold a stick to save their lives. Our tail could not even muster more than 1 run today on the flattest of wickets.
 
this game is over, england have take the bull by the horns as they say,

from the fist over till the last it will be a total england day, t

there batsmen won't give it away like shafiq did.
 
england have stunned us, no1 in the world would have though england would be 150-1

Still think azhar Ali should come onto bowl, England have struggled against legspin in the past!
