This indian captain seem to have more sense than Sehwag. I like how he is answering the questions here.
 
Windies game will be very tough, especially as their batting did well last time against Pak and now they're in good bowling for too.

Congratulations to U19 Pakistan team. Nice game to enjoy on a weekend morning.

Unfortunately, I don't see anyone from Indian U19 team to be a potential to play for team India soon. May be a seam bowler looking at the Indian senior bowlers.

From Pakistan, not sure if you see potential for senior team? only the Hammad guy impressed me due to his cool head.

Fayyaz and Raza were also very impressive...
 
Running between wickets needs to improve. A lot of the 1's really should have been 2's
 
I am so very happy to see this game! These guys play for country, no BS. I am so proud of them. way to go guys
 
Get this Ghuman guy in the senior team asap. He speaks English and I guess that's the enough reason for Pakistan team selection or may be not. :)

Superb bowling from India at the start - Sharma was getting some brilliant movement (should have bowled all his overs then, lost the touch at the end) and Netravalkar was dangerous, good bowler.

Even Unadkat was superb at the start BUT i didnt like the whole angry, swearing young man routine - no need for that

Agreed. The Indian opening bowlers were excellent, and despite the drops, their fielding was impressive. They gave it their all.
 
Hammad

I liked how Hammad took Bhaiti to task when he didnt give hammad the stirke. I like this guy. Should be considered for seniors

What? That Netravalkar looks pretty good - also Unadkat can be decent if he just calms down a little

Sharma is similar to Anwar Ali in that if the conditions are right he can bowl huge inswingers BUT other than that nowt special

The Indian opening bowlers have a lot of potential. In a couple of years, I see them making a fearsome fast bowling paring if they continue to develop.

Agreed. Indian team worked hard, and they should get a pat on the back for doing a great job.
 
After a long time I have seen a pakistani doing a great job in presentation..and spoke very well ...Azeem

actually Hammad wanted to take 2 there but Bhatti wanted just the single to give Hammad the strike. that almost was a run out but the fielder in the deep just sort of gave up on the ball. like the attitude from Hammad, none of this shielding the strike at that stage, you take every run that's given.

great win for pak thought we blew it but held our nerves, Insha'Allah hope they go all the way now.
 
Beating india at any level is simply satisfying and sweet. Young boyz made us proud today and looked a very calm and composed unit with lots of confidence. I think we really have a very balanced team with good batting line up and some very good spinners. Fielding isn't that bad either and the skipper seems to have a very good head on his shoulder. His field placing was spot on and rotated the bowlers really well along and led the fielding effort from the front. This should give them a lot more confidence going into semis and hopefully they can bring the cup home InshaAllah.

I am really impressed with Babar Azam and Raza with their spin bowling. Hammad Azam is great all round potential and Ahsan & Rameez battes really well to take us out of the tricky situation. All in all a very good team and playing really well MashaAllah.

The moment of the day for me was the little teary eye and calm smile from our coach Ijaz Ahmed. It just showed how much this win meant to him.

Well done team Pakistan. :14: :14:
 
Yeah, was really impressed by our game plan on the field. Every bowler knew his role and Ghumman did an excellent job in the field. His field placings were spot on.

Yup, the good thing is that we have some finishers in the side. Waqad did it against Bangladesh and Hammad did it today. Love it.:)

Pak U-19 beat India; qualify for semis AUCKLAND: Following the IPL row between two rivals also cricket playing nations Pakistan and India, the young Pakistan Under-19 cricket team has trounced their arch rivals by 2 wickets in the rain-delayed quarter-final counter, thus qualifying for the semifinal of the ICC Under-19 World Cup here on Saturday.

The match had been restricted to 23 over in an innings due to torrential overnight rain.

This is the befitting reply to Indian discrimination rendered with Pakistan players in India over the non-selection of Pakistani players in Indian Premier League (IPL), some experts claimed.

India U-19 having been put into bat first could only manage to score 114 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in allotted 23 overs.

India shone brilliantly by pressurizing Pakistan in the beginning of their innings, taking three quick wickets on 16 runs in 5 overs.

But later on, the middle order showed character and succeeded to beat defending champions in the final over of the match.

Today , These Youngsters proved that nothing can kill the Indo-Pak rivalry . Not even Modi's abomination !

I was greatly impressed by Fayyaz , although he needs a bit more pace but the swing and the line are there . Bhatti's bowling looked good , the guy's a thinking bowler but I wasn't impressed by his GlORY effort in the end . Need's to be reminded that his country comes first . I can find no word to describe the praise for the spinners , they were just spot on especially Raza .

In the batting department , the 15 year old Babar looked good for a while . I thought he was gonna get a biggie but the ball he got was just Phenomenal by young Sharma , An Anwar Ali look-alike . Shahzad just lost a fan :pissed: . I'm surprised that I hadn't heard of Ahsan Ali before , the guy rescued us from a disaster point . All the hype surrounding Rameez was justified in my opinion but I wouldn't call him Little Lara.....looked more like a lil Hussey .

Everything Aside , Out of the whole lot . Hammad won my heart , the guy can touch 140 K and bowls a beautiful line to lefties . Showed his ability with the bat , hit's the ball hard like Razzaq . A genuine All-rounder in the making :) .

In the End , I'd just like to say that both teams played well . Hope both teams can prosper from here on .

^^Indians who love them some legspin (right arm) bowling would have taken a liking to Qadir a bit too much...brilliant strategic decision by the skipper Ghumman to give Qadir a rest...

Is that right was it the captains decision? Thats very impressive especially compared to the brain dead captaincy of Yousuf.

i'm guessing the management would've been involved in that decision as well. in a 20-over a game he'd have gone for plenty.

CONGRATULATIONS to the lads for this victory!!! They held on to their nerves under pressure and passed the finishing line. Excellent captaincy by Ghumman (even though his initial strategy must have gone down the drain after the match was reduced to 23 overs each).. Good batting by Ahsan and excellent temperament shown by Hammad. That was one truly exciting match!!!
 
very happy to see pakistan won, yeah! well i was sad to see it was only 23 overs game which ruined the 50 overs match. but congrats to our boys for beating those craps and still being undefeated. mashallah this is great! i saw few overs batting of pakistan and i liked rameez batting, had the style in him and good stroke player.

Only Unadkat can make it through among seam bowlers Netravalkar is too slow bowlsa in early 70's and mandeep singh looks good for india

Well Done to the Pakistani U-19 boys, I am glad you guys beat India. You guys definitely deserved it. Good Luck in the Semi Final with West Indies hope you guys do well!!!!
At one point the amount of wickets that were falling I sort of got scared that they might lose but in the end they came through and won.
