Yes he needs to improve his approach but I think he is a bit of a rock nonetheless. Excellent technique against the new ball and values his wicket highly. Should be opening.

Agree wid Mamoon , if at all Azhar Ali has to fit into d team , he has to be opening .. He is not a no. 3 material . Just too defensive at times & lets the bowler dictate terms....i'm worried about the future of pak test batting after !

this is one of the worst performances i've seen from pakistan since i've started following the team ...surprising to see such a performance after all the highs dey had achieved as a team just few weeks ago ... had it not been for Sarfaraz , dey might have lost the last test as well . Misbah 's defensive tactics of not going for d win in d last test have cost them the series win ...
