Pick the kid

Play him out of his position

Ruin the kid

Extended haiku

If these kids cant bat at number 3 or 4 position in T20 why should babar being the most successful opener and most run getter should drop himself down for these crappy young players

I like how you keep on trying to justify what you have been saying all along despite the constant failures of your saviors.

We all know you are tearing your hair out right now after being proven wrong lol.

Continue putting on a brave face on your posts.

Proven wrong how?!

How is Saim a number 4???

Babar the coward is responsible for this middle order mess.
He should bat at 4 and let lesser batsmen like saim and haris open

Some real dumb captaincy here

This is where he could get Ravindra to bowl some overs not these easy peasy trundlers

What a poor shot that was from saim.
He just can't play along the ground. That bat face is always pointing up

I've been saying it for years. No one is denying RizBabs greatness. I just want them to showcase that greatness at 1 and 2 down. We play two openers at 1 and 2 down hoping they can stop a collapse. Iim tearing my.hair out seeing this day in and day out. The solution to our middle orders is there, but RizBab refuse to let go of the opening positions. I wonder why

Pakistani players seriously need to get a professional psychologist along with them all the time home and away.

They're mentally shot out most of the time and the young ones now don't seem to care much of their wicket or game and just seem to do an Afridi on every ball.

Why blame him? Why play a kid at number 3???

I am a fan of Haris, but its your first ball that your facing and your trying to look fancy, like all he had to do was give him self some balls, to get a feel for the pitch, and than maybe after try to play those shots. Haris, was also out during Powerplay, so even if he opened we would have gotten the same result more or less.

I still think he should be persisted with, and heck let him open, I have no issues with that, but he does need a bit of talking, to try to give him self some time to settle in the crease.

I feel Pakistan can really afford one of Rizwan and Babar in the XI. Just so that the batters are playing in their natural positions. And so that, at least in paper, the PP is better utilized. I feel it should be Babar in the XI over Rizwan (Rizwan should still be in the squad).

1. Haris (wk)
2. Saim
3. Babar (interchangeable with 4 depending on innings situation)
4. Fakhar (interchangeable depending with 3 on innings situation)
5. Iftikhar
6. Imad
7. Shadab
8. Nawaz
9. Shaheen
10. Rauf
11. Ihsanullah

That’s why you don’t have a stuntman at 3

More delays because Rizwan can see the ball spinning behind the sightscreen

This guy

Pakistan have immensely helped Sodhi bring his bowling average down to 30 and with the 5 ODI's to come could go down to less than 29 as well.

Think. This simple and sub par level of thinking won’t help you in any facets of life.

A guy who tries to play a scoop to an outside full delivery first ball after not playing an entire series and you’re advocating for him to dismantle a great opening combo? Why? Because you think he may get a faster start based on some PSL games here and there? How does that affect team strategy? How does it affect the other teams approach to Pakistan knowing there’s a walking wicket up front? How does it affect the players who will have to play around Harris who is going to be asked to slog? Are you even sure he can do it against high quality bowling when he hasn’t shown he can do it consistently or better than Babar/Rizwan. How many more runs do you think he will get more than Babar and Eizwan in the long run and during the PP? If you have definitive arguments for any of these questions then I’d like to hear them. But provide rational thoughts. Not just because you have a feeling.

This in international cricket. Not your gully cricket where the slogger is told to go up front.

That’s why you don’t have a stuntman at 3

Even if you play him, and he opens, and he plays shots like that all the time more often than not, he will get out for a duck, and pressure will be on other batsman coming in. I think you and Can Agree, he has the talent, and have no issue with him opening, but we can also agree, that he should be more smart about his approach, especially when he is facing his first ball.

Its sad that no one is highlighting the technical and mental capabilities of youngsters. Instead finding ways how others are responsible for their failures. A generation of nazirs, shehzads, akmals, haiders have passed but we are still the same.

I may be privy to getting on the Iftimania bandwagon. Snowflake

The form Chapman is in

180 will not be enough

Maybe 200 will not be enough cuz of pitch too, ideally would be nice to get 215, but if Pak can get to 195 plus, they can maybe put preassure and make a game out of it.

Riz really slowing down now.

Needs to keep the momentum going.

The amount of full tosses & half treckers not being put out of the ground is shocking.

Pak batting really is the pits !!

You can't make that judgement until you play those two in their natural position. Until then this argument holds no water

They did play them as openers against Afghanistan and the result was, first time defeat against Afghanistan. It didn't make any difference. If anything, Haris was made to look like a tailender when the ball was swinging a bit.

They are going to have to prove themselves before they are given their desired positions. Babar didn't start out as a number 3 in ODIs or as an opener in T20Is either.

Yes

Let Rizwan bat at 3 or 4…

Oh wait…he did…and failed

So why deny him to open where he has done so well for Pakistan for some hit ànd miss players of the same mould as Sharjeel, Akmal, Haider and Imran Nazir. I am so happy we have stability at the top qith performances.

NZ have been good in field, regardless of what total Pak finish with our fielding will have to be good, and our spinners will have to be on top of their game as well

So 3 matches? That's all they get? And it was siams debut. Your gonna adjudicate ayubs on his first 3 international appearances and claim he isn't an opener? That's not right. Same with haris. Minimum give them 7 8 games let them get their feet under them. But we are so scared to let anyone else open regardless of how detrimental it is to our middle order.

Rizwan celebrating like he made 100

In the context of the match worth a 100. If he celebrates other players 50s the same way,why can he not celebrate his own. Next criticiam will be Rizwan is too short or is it too religious.

Iftikhar is cementing his place in the middle order with each game. He might even force himself into the ODI conversation.

Sorry, didn't know this talent was so pathetic that batting 1 position lower makes them complete rubbish.

Nowhere do young players come and replace the performing players in the team and take their positions.

it makes a difference when that 1 position down comes after the powerplay.
