Shafiq should have played for the sake of middle order stability.

I think Imran farhat and Misbah both have naked pictures of Ijaz Butt
 
On what basis are Fawad and Asad Shafiq out while Farhat IN . ????

Asad Shfiq should definitely have been playing ahead of Farhat, Hafeez, and Misbah.
 
What did Asad do get dropped? Ridiculous. Only because Misbah is Test captain; he takes the place of a deserving youngster. :facepalm:
 
Team management once again creates a scenario for excuses. IE Fawad Alam's SR was pretty good in the domestic T20. Pakistan need players to hold things together. Hafeez and Farhat are both walking wickets.

Very disappointing team selected by Afridi. I can understand Fawad's omission but Asad should be selected ahead of the 3 stooges.
 
Imran Farhat and Hafeez are basically the 12th and 13th players for South Africa
 
Nasir Jamshed, Khalid Latif, Imran Nazir, Sharjeel Khan, Ahmed Shehzad all deserve to play ahead of these two. Even Taufeeq Umar. Look at his one day and t20 record. How can someone with those stats be considered a test specialist.
 
South African's are a bunch of wussies. Play Steyn, what's the least that will happen to him? :shahzaib
 
Farhat played well in FBLT20 and i think he deserve the place
Hafeez again too deserve a place because Afridi knows if Razzaq goes for runs so got the backup but cant understand why Misbah in the team.

Im just making a general statement. people just seem to have something against Fawad for no reason. Asad Shafiq should have played especially in place of Farhat and Hafeez.

I don't mind Fawad's omission too much. But if all you can replace him with is Misbah or Farhat, then im sorry, its a crime of and injustice of the highest order.

Shafiq omitted is icing on the cake.
 
Misbah can still be effective in T20, but lets give other players a shot.
 
Good that Shafiq isnt playing.I dont want him to turn into a slogger.Keep him at the longer forms,thats where he needs to learn.

thats the point. Misbah and his cronies ahead of FAwad and Asad shafiq. I think Farhat and Hafeez are capable cricketers but they have failed again again and again. Playing Hafeez out of position also makes little sense
 
Hafeez is only selected because afridi knows if razzaq goes for runs then he could use Hafeez to bowl instead of razz

YK has retired from T20 anyway so no issues with him not being selected. Same goes for Fawad because everytime he plays a T20, he just earns a lot of criticism, much of it unwarranted, tbh. I'd rather he focuses on Tests and ODIs. Asad Shafiq should have been selected.

Without Kamran Akmal opening the batting order really does look poor.

Pakistani players will get out to Morkel but isnt that great. Certainly Pakistan have the better bowling attack. with that being said, gul has a tendency to have some atrocious games.

Fawad is a crap bowler, and Hafeez' selection is justified given his performances in England with bat and ball. Misbah I guess just played because he's captain, and Farhat is an opener.

I agree. Shafiq is much more than a brainless slogger AND it helps him not to consider himself a classy player in his early career :umarakmal

I agree with dogers, we will have 13 runs in 2 overs. Gone are those days when we used to have a 8-9 rpo start (courtesy Saeed Anwar, Ijaz Ahmed/Aamer Sohail/Afridi combo)
