Credit to Misbah on wanting to bowl 1st and credit to the bowlers on using such great discapline so far in this inns!

Amir who lol? Don't remember Amir causing such carnage on flat pitches as Junaid!!

Really great to see :D Guy is on a hatrick!

amazing how Rameez has chnaged his tune about junaid when he was earlier saying that Whaab should have played instead of him...

Pakistan need to finish this off and get sri lanka out for under 150!

Cant let matthews settle in here!

Junaid bowling well, but Ajmal has been below par... expected more from him.

he took 2 wickets... though one of them was not out ... still he contained as well from one end and creates pressure through out .....i think its a job well done

None of the rest of these bowlers are famed for batting, they're all tailenders with averages in single digits. Bit strange considering in recent times, Sri Lankan bowlers have been pretty good with the bat.

Herath's decent, but he's out already thanks to Junaid :D.

The pitch does have some pace in it if you bowl in right areas!

Pakistan when they come to bat need to plan to bat well and bat big! 400+

If Pak fold up SL under 150, this game is all set for Pakistan. They have to bat sensibly though. Get around 300-350 or more given SL attack is fairly new.

Pitch looks flat, good bowling from pacers and spinners.

Toy Hill is great youngster too

Herath goooooooooooooone

JK on hat trick now

This is great stuff from Pakistan. That's the reason Pakistan is always one of the most exciting team to watch. Nobody believed at the toss that Sri Lanka will be on 115/7 on such a pancake but thats what Pakistani bowling can do with any team in the world on their day.
Regards

We have bowled team out under 200 so so so many times but our batting :69:

Batting looks solid now, much better than it has for a long time. It's at least twice if not more the batting line up we fielded in Australia, England etc. You can see it in the team faces, they walk out confident of getting a good total score. Perhaps because good total scores have become increasingly common with Misbah in charge.

Limited overs batting still isn't gelling, but it's a work in progress, it's getting better.

all the pakistani bowler have bin excellent, they've applied relentless pressure on srilanka who have just crumbled against quality

tony hill give one bad decisioin in favour of :ajmal one bad decision against :ajmal

so 1 and 1 match nul ball in the middle please

yeah and to be fair I'd rather have Dilshan than Lakmal anyway :))).

Tony Greig @ twitter This has been a fine performance by the Pak bowlers. Their attack looks as good as any around. Plenty of pace and a top class spinner.

1 wicket fell during the first session and it was on the last ball by ajmal.lots of one dimensional deluded fans + commentators thought that pak wasted the movement on offer on the greentop. but then 6 wickets come crashing ......... be careful for what you wish for

What's going on? Someone post a quick summary. :ajmal

Tea. What a session for Pakistan. In this heat, on a flat pitch, they have the opposition at 115 for 7. The captain couldn't have asked for more after he inserted the opposition. Only thing not going Pakistan's way is the over-rate. They'll need to bowl 38 overs in the final session. Not sure Sri Lanka will bat that long, though. Join us around 3pm for the final session

i hope so too that they bat with patience and authority...this is a weak bowling attack of Srilanka compare to we face in past ....We batting really well against Newzealand passing 350 twice

they are still unpredictable against spin

:90:

LOLS! 121/7. What a collapse!

So people who questioned Misbah's decision must be feeling better now?

And what about the thread on Junaid? lols again.

patience is always the key and we have been discipline too..good work from Misbah. He is building a legacy here!!!

Could the following please bend over and beg Misbah for forgiveness...Typical Paks who jump the gun before a delivery has even been bowled. Afridi fan boys showing their intellect again!

Misbah oh Misbah...defensiveness and timidity at its best!!!!

Misbah fields again

he still thinks this is zimbabwe batting:akhtar

Noob Captaincy Decision. Get Afridi Back :P

Bowling first?

SL will now proceed to make 700+.

Misbah probably saw one blade of grass and thought it was a greentop. :ibutt

this guy is just unbelievable!!! bloody hell Sri Lanka is NOT Zimbabwe!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :69:

Misbah is aiming for a draw right from the first morning

that's :misbah's genius for you :)))

Misbah as usual proving that why is he looked upon by many as an ultra defensive Captain.
