Up until 2017 Azhar Ali was a certified Pakistan great. He is probably one even now but the last 3 years have dented his record and legacy. He deserves to be dropped but there is no need to brush aside the great work he has done for Pakistan in the past.
 
Abid has beautiful strokes.

But I think he would get clean bowled by a yorker because of his shuffle with the front foot.
 
It's painful watching Azhar Ali bat. Really, really painful! He's like Misbah but without any talent.
 
This is the time of the day where we should be cashing in and upping the scoring rate. Instead the RR is going downwards.

We don't know what's going to happen tomorrow. But Pak have pretty much bagged the game
 
Bat until an hour before tea tomorrow. Need to grind Sri Lanka down and allow the pitch to deteriorate a bit more.
 
I have a feeling that it will be really really hard to get Lanka out as well. The pitch has flattened alot It doesnt seem like it but it could be a draw even.
 
Is the pitch really good, Pakistan batting really well, SL bowling poorly or a combination of all 4?

The pitch has definitely become very good. Pakistan has batted decently but Srilankans have been very defensive from the start.

Abid was exceptional and was supported well by Shan earlier. Pitch is a bit better but poor bowling from Srl as well. Best time to bog Pakistan down is always with early wickets, once the runs are free flowing with poor bowling it lifts the pressure off Pak which is something Pak isnt good at handling. I still think that pitch has enough if you can ball decent lines and lengths which Srl has struggled to do.
 
Unlucky that the ball kept low. Its time for Babar to play with his usual flow.

Well played. Needs to get rid of this selfish streak he has about him though. Reviewing plumb lbw’s, going up to opposition players to shake their hands rather than them coming up to him.
 
People chanting Babar’s name, happy for our players playing at home. Cant imagine how much would be the chants for Babar and some others in PSL this time around.
 
We need to keep the runs ticking over till close of play.

kumara has been sri lankas best quick for a few years now , not sure why they ever drop him.he is managed very poorly, kohli would turn him into a world beater

I know the realization that Babar is currently the most popular Pakistani player is painful for you but he is, so deal with it.

Also just btw the crowd is definitely more than the first 2 days and energetic to boot,especially considering some enclosures are not even open to public.If you thought it would be like the Psl you were grossly mistaken. and for your information i personally witnessed people leaving in flocks on day 1 as soon as Babar got out but there there, you'll get over it.

First 50 in 14 innings . Hopefully he can get his career back on track . He’s had an almighty slump .

I would say the most well known current cricketer in Pakistan by javid public is safaraz ahmad.
Only cricket fans know who babar is.
Babar is the best player in the Pak team, but that might be challenged for the next couple of years by abid ali.

The stadium is empty or my tv is on the blink.
Karachi should be banned from hosting Pakistan international matches.
Only lahore, faislabad and multan should hold matches, but i dont know if faislabad and multan have any 5* hotels?
So lahore it is, we lahoris will show you karachites what true Pakistan cricket fans are!
