Same here

Might come to bite us in the **** if we're not careful.

i see so its so simple then...every team should just take powerplay between 30 to 40 overs regardless of the match situation?

england against aussies is a very poor example...england were taking powerplays when their team was 5, 6 and even 7 down and prior to that their run rate was about 4...

plus logic should dictate that the best time for taking a powerplay should be towards the end of the innings if the team already has a good run rate and with not many wickets down and with big hitters still to come...think about it

Fawad Alam at this stage? Does not make much sense.

Well it is a warm up game, so it's best the major batsmen in the team get some time out in the middle. Our score is already good enough. :afridi

I think S.A are going for a 400 score. LOL

Lets see what Boom Boom can do here.

Nope.

We need 300 plus just to be on the safe side.

Yeah but atleast they West Indians should show some sort of fight how can you let them score 350 odd with four overs spare? Even UAE a non test playing nation (Forget BD and others) would let them score this much

Murali already consulted one after that 37 ball century demolition in 1996. Didn't work.

47.6
Kulasekara to Shahid Afridi, 2 byes, outside off, cuts late, beaten, bounce beats the keeper as well

Somehow,I dont understand the logic of taking bat.Powerplay in the last 5 ovs of the innings..You are supposed to hit it around in the last 8-10 ovs..Before the introduction of Bat.Powerplay,we used to score around 90 runs in the last 10 ovs..even after the introduction of Bat.Powerplay,we still score 90-100 runs.So what is the difference.I think teams havent figured out yet when to take Bat.powerplay..Ideally,it should be taken in the middle ovs or when the ball is changed after 34 ovs..
