Who are you talking about? S.A. match, Our match vs Sri Lanka or hypothetically if we play South Africa?

I think much also does depend on the match situation itself, in terms of how many wickets have gone down, who is still to come with the bat. Most teams believe they can consolidate and keep wickets in hand until the last 10 overs and then hit out using the fielding restrictions.

Often what has happened is that batsmen have gotten out when the team least expected them to or a cluster of wickets fall quickly. That's when the plans go out of the window. Also, the batsmen in the team, who can be termed as consolidators are not the best batsmen to take advantage of the fielding restrictions even if they are in. Teams tend to wait until a big hitter is at the crease before opting to take the powerplay.
Well,I think when two batsmen are in then u should take the PP regardless of the fact that a hitter is at the crease or no.You dont have to just slog it out.Sensible play can easily yield u around 50 runs in PP.If u have been in for a long time as a batsman and still cant take advantage of PP,then u are not competent enough to be called as a batsman..In the middle overs, sometimes,u are struggling with the Run rate and PP can really boost it and shift the momentum towards the batting side. So,in my opinion,PP should be taken in the middle ovs when two batsmen are set. :umarakmal

Meray pyaaray bhai. Warm up matches for the Champions Trophy aren't being televised. We are all following on Cricinfo, you should do that to. :)
