Well said adarsh.

For some reason their are too many loudmouths about at the moment.

We're have all the sane Pak and Ind fans gone? :D

If it helps,

in practice matches for WC 2007, Pakistan won both games and you guys know what happened.

in practice matches for T20 WC 2009, Pakistan lost both games and you guys know what happened.

The signs are not very good.

Yeah I'm so depressed.

I mean it always works that way doesn't it. ;-)

Just a general observation but has anybody noticed how many useless threads crop in the cricket forum during a Pakistan game? :13:

freedom of speech mate. what may sound useless to you may not be useless to others.

perhaps they're right here but abstaining from posting at the moment because they're too disappointed lookin ay the quality of the other post(er)s :D

but most of the posters dont mean what they write... eh tho jazba sar pe sawaar hae ji .. buss :D

looks like whatever miandad did with misbah and malik worked they both seem to be in good batting form

did you watch yousuf bat that you consider him out of sort. i dont ever remember him being out of form or not timing the ball well. its only a matter of time before he clicks.

I would still go with yousuf over imran N with malik opening.

Well apparantly you are a big fan of him right? But listen mate, We all know how good he is but at the moment he is not in form, the scores tell you that. List up all of his scores in Lanka (I know he scored a century there) and find the average and judge youself.
If you like a player that doesn't mean you can't critisize him.
That is the biggest problem in Pakistan set up. You play guys who are senior and on their reputation.

I want Yousuf to do well as I like his style of batting, besides I am pakistani and its in our teams interest that he performs well. But at the moment he is not in form and I wish him good luck.

I was not serious guys. LOL

Just something to notice.

Look there is some sense in what you say, and I understand your concern against the team becoming complacent, but I don't think that should apply in a major tournament for Pakistan with our situation. We should be relishing the challenge.

Yeah but honestly some of the stuff I've read today on the forum from both sets of fans has been in poor taste really.

should be an easy victory for pak from here perhaps... i'm disappointed yet again that alam isn't tried... if you are not going to give him a chance in the warm ups !!! then when ???

too bad...

maybe the thinktank is too scared to experiment even in warmups... :(

I know this is a bit early but am I right in suggesting the Aussies are through from our group(I know they lost today but they were experimenting :inti :ibutt )

Every batsman is in some sort of batting form.

YK and Yousuf I'm not so worried about because they are our best two batsman overall.

Nazir has always been hit and miss so nothing surprising on his part.

I am a little bit dissapointed that Fawad hasn't had much of a chance to get some runs under his belt and thus some confidence.

I have no great liking for yousuf. I just feel he is a better bet than nazir at the moment. quite honestly he has not looked all that out of sorts to me as he has to you and I have also watched a lot of cricket. averages are not everything.

i also like the idea of malik up the order and that can only be done by getting rid of nazir. akmal is batting well.

want to bet 10 quid with me that he will play against the WI and nazir will be dropped?

Looks like your rookies are getting a good work-out. Nayar and Mishra both staking a claim.

looks like all they needed was support belief and backing ???? i doubt if the technique can drastically improve without much practise!!!

but tips do lead to massive improvement in short time durations

I am not sure the management has much confidence in Fawad at the moment. As much as we all like to go on and on about Alam, he has done nothing to justify his inclusion ahead of Malik, Misbah and MoYo. He got three chances in Sri Lanka when one of these three was dropped to accommodate him, but he just could not deliver. Fawad will warm the bench once again throughout the tournament, specially now that Malik and Misbah look to be back in form

In the semi finals...maybe somewhere near the end of the innings, hell, maybe he'll be tossed the ball to roll over his arm! :yk

200 is up, 200/3 after 38 and the big hitters may not even get to bat.

I hope they can bat sensibly like this when even chasing scores above 300. They are 215/3 after 40.3 overs and still have big hitters like lahore dynamite, Sahibzada and rana still to come and they can easily score 7-8 runs per over.

And while typing this Misbah is out.

ive got a feeling all the malik haters will be out with their knives sharpened as ever before!!! main excuse will be IT WAS ONLY A PRACTICE MATCH lol

And Misbah bowled...Was looking to him to finish this off. but oh well, time for Boom Boom!

akmal jnr in lets see if he can bat with tasting the rainbow

malik 118 (122)
umar akmal 4(3)

41.3 overs Pak 224-4
