Yes he's not a boundary hitter for the last 10 overs but he's been a top middle over bat for us since 2015 WC.

We didn't win the series, despite him scoring most runs. He still is not a good ODI batsman, Rizwan is better.

WICB policy is that players who don't participate in their domestic 50 over competition will not be in contention for ODIs. Gayle, Russell, and others choose to play T20 leagues which goes without saying pay significantly better.

Gayle though has a long standing back injury which magically clears up before a T20 league...
