it was a good delivery, it was nipping back, so review makes sense
 
Azhar is gonna get absolutely blasted for that innings and specially that review....
 
Does Umar Akmal deserve to be in the lineup instead of Malik?

on a side note;
Malik adds a lot more then performance then Akmal in the side
 
Selfish review from the leader Azhar ali

That was a very ordinary review .
I know he is under pressure but to use up a review for that decision as a captain in that situation reeks of desperation.and selfishness .
His captaincy days are numbered .
 
The sooner we realize he's not an ODI player, the better it is for both Azhar and Pakistan. There's no shame in accepting that and Sharjeel out LOL. Let's see what Rizwan babu can do.
 
Sharjeel should've given Alzarri more respect. Trying to hit him like he was hitting Holder.
 
He definitely needs to be let go. I have been saying this; Pakistan winning this series can actually turn out to be disastrous for us long term if Azhar is kept as captain.
 
Not surprised at that review, after all this is a guy who once reviewed after edging it to the slips

I think Sharjeel is overrated too.

20 off 10 balls is pretty much useless in ODI's. Lack's consistency for me.

As long as he gets 50+ every now and then and averages 30 at over a 100 SR, I'm fine with him.

so its not easy to get rid of malik
thats why i am hoping he performs for the sake of pakistan
 
Can't find the video but for those that remember this was one of the most selfish things I have ever seen in a team sport

Perera to Azhar Ali, OUT, there's his first Test wicket and Perera is chuffed! But Pakistan have other plans. Azhar Ali has gone for the review. It was very full and just outside off. Azhar was looking to drive through the covers but gets the edge straight trough to Mathews at slip. Just enough drift away to dupe the batsman.That's a wasted one and Pakistan have lost both their reviews
 
He lacks game sense as reflected in his captaincy.

How often do you mean?

Once in every 3 innings is acceptable but any less is not IMO.
 
Azam is playing himself in which is fine but must not get bogged down.
 
Though two out but run rate is still good. Don't know now because Malik saab is there.

Reminded me of Afridi and his selfish review attempts as captain.
 
I think Pak will be stuck in 250-280 old school target for awhile, just look at SA VS Aus match the scoring rate..

Almost every t-20 match that we've won since the past year; his performances have been incredible.

BUT, you can't give him credit for just one ODI, except for that 1 odi, he has never played an under pressure knock in ODI's recently...hope so he plays it today.
 
Hate it when Malik and Babar play a brilliant shot straight to the fielder. :facepalm:

Looks more shaky than arrogant IMO, not a solid base that he's trying to hit from.

intresting maybe he think review can save his ever drowning odi career..
when actually there is no career or scope for him in odi.
 
The RR is still fine.

I am fine with playing at 5-6 RPO until the 30th over but not anything below that.
 
Malik has only been at the wicket a few balls but this knock already has shown the value of having an old master at the wicket in a dicey situation. A lesser player might have gotten out due to the pressure of early wickets but malik has been able to calm the nerves of the dressing room and guide barber along. Really has been fantastic to watch.
 
Malik and Babar should try and run hard and convert the 1's into to 2's.
 
Should be thankful for the fast start sharjeel provided because these two are taking it way too slow
