Manzoor should probably play a few shots at this point, he doesnt look solid when hes leaving or defending, only a matter of time.

Damn, Waqar has put on a lot of weight in his retirement days. I wonder whether he tries to keep himself slim. I hope he isnt one of those who give up all forms of exercising, training once retired.

He got the edge playing a defensive shot but was dropped again.
 
manzoor should of been out twice now so that proves this guy is a total joke pakistan needs to bring a proper cricketer.

i have to agree though it was a pretty crap shot by manzoor.
he gets dropped on 0 and 6... let's see if he goes on to make a big one :P

He;s only a make shift keeper. Baugh is injured so Marshall has to do the keeping.

afridi should come in next to boost the run rate even if he gets out at 30-40 runs atleast he would of pushed up the rate. or else this is going to get stuck down.

And 100 of those runse should come from Manzor. 2 dropped catches should result in 100

30-1 10 overs...these boundaries are very long indeed plus the slow outfield...
i like these kinda matches where 240 and 250 is a competitive score rather than 300...

I too occasionally have similar thoughts. Sometimes I feel I am not as great as I really am.

He was the first choice but he did not recover from his illness in time for this series. Manzoor was brought in as the replacement.
 
Pakistan once again struggling in the early overs. Seems to be a total reluctance to take the bowling on.
 
If Pakistan are going to lose a wicket in the first over in all the ODI's inspite of playing specialist openers then whats the issue in sending Afridi to open?

You know as a team you are always destined to lose a wicket early, why not sent someone who can at least get the team of to a flying start and whose dismissal will have no impact on the team whatsoever. Afridi is wasted down the order. He needs to be used just like he was being used in the tour to India in 2005 when he was ordered to open the batting. And in his recent interview he did say he had been asking the team management to open with him in the previous few games.
 
It seems this Manzoor fella tries to hit the ball too hard at times hence his placement goes awry. I think if he has any brains he can pick up things from Younis in this innings.

I believe that Inti has said he prefers specialist openers though at the moment there is anything special about our openers.

There has been acha bowling and the ball is doing a little. Its not 20/20, and its not a flat pancake in India - so sometimes we will have to wait!!
 
I am not watching the match live.

Is the ball doing too much or Pak is batting slow? 35/1 in 11 overs looks too slow.
 
When was the last time Pakistan had a flying start? I can't seem to remember.
 
What is the problem?

Pakistan have only lost 1 wicket in 11 overs and have scored around 30 runs..

We have enough strokemakers to get this total to around 270 which would be competitive under lights for West Indies
 
Sohail Tanvir will again be absolutely unplayable under lights.

There is nothing wrong to play little slow in first few overs.

But a wicket now will make the condition bad - 40/2 in 13 overs
