Is true.

That's Misbah's flaw IMO. When he's in the attacking mood doesn't care if it's a good ball or bad, he'll hit it. Plays more in terms of the time he's been in rather than quality of the ball. He's capable of hitting quite a few of these bad balls but let's it go.

If he'd have done that, honestly think he'd be a world class batsman. By which I mean average near 50, SR over 80. But still he's very good, can't complain.

Is this really a PAKISTANI forum??? Have you guys only played STREET cricket???

ANY TIME you put bat on ball, there is a chance you will get out. ONLY way to guarantee you do not get out is to LEAVE the ball outside the stumps, that is IT !!! If it was easy to hit and defend, people would have averages in the 1000s in domestic leagues.

Any time you try to score, you take the chance that you will get out as well. The bigger shot you go for, the bigger the chance you will get out.

You guys praise when its a 6, but if he tries same shot for 6, gets out, then you complain?? Sorry, cant have BOTH sides. If you want him to hit, then PRAISE Asad Shafiq, he tries to scoop that ball over slips for 4. He didnt try to HIT IT to 3rd man's lap...

GO MISBAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! :misbah best batsman in our team

Jamshed deserves a 50 here for the hard work he put in early on.

Pak 84/3 at half way stage, still alot of rebuilding to be done here.

I like jamshed's approach today. He was forced to play a defensive innings after the others went back to pavillion but he has answered the call very well.

Looks like the players are playing a fun cricket out there, seem to be lots of smiles now between both sides.. probably just trying to hide their nerves. :yk

First target should be score 135 runs till 35 over and then 115 runs in last 15 overs
250 still possible :)

Only positive for Pakistan till now is that their best bats are still on crease. It seems easier to score now and Pakistan should score atleast @6+ for next 25 overs. ie a score of 236

if these both survive till PowerPlay we can easily score 50+ in PP.

Good post, agree.

His last shot is an example of this flaw. He leaves so many of these poor balls when he gets in the closed shop mindset that he traps himself into the need to hit a huge shot or, in extreme cases, several huge shots (Vs India).

Flaw or no flaw,he's the best batsman we have by miles..Ive lost count of how many times he's rescued us from 17/3-ish positions

yeah, but thats if these two survive. Malik is next, who has no power to hit, and Akmal is hit or miss, so important not to get greedy. Just beat on Pollard while picking up Narine carefully, even 3-4 an over from Narine is ok.

He's actually very lucky to still be there..Streaky all the way

*super thumbs up*

His strike rate is also ahead of Nasir. people just like to complain with no knowledge how cricket is played. No other captain has to rescue his top order as much as Misbah does. Im sure if Misbah played on India, his strike rate would much higher because he would come to bat at 250/2 in 40 overs.

Was just looking at WI warmups they scored 256 without Gayle & Samuel against Aussies and scored 297 against Lanka with Gayle & Samuel in the team but both guys didn't scored so how much they can score against Pak Bowling? Key Batsmen for WI are Charles, Darren Bravo & Sarwan

Samuels action looks like much more than that 15 degree limit. and people doubt Ajmal's more or less straight arm
