Does anyone know which channel(s) is showing Pakistan v Zimbabwe in UK. Series gets underway on Friday and we don't know which channel is covering this in UK, yet

Thanks

It could be Sky Sports Box Office on pay per view , after all its Hafeez 3.0 v Zimbabwe, mouth watering contest.

I doubt that this series will hold much interest for international broadcasters on a standalone basis. Unfortunately for the PCB, under the present climate, it's improbable getting long-term broadcast contracts in the international market.

They'll probably do a last-minute deal with one of the Pakistani channels in the UK, but I won't hold much hope for this series being broadcast in other markets. Best case, they put it on some random streaming site.

"Shared in due course"???? The series is 2 days away. Obviously no intl broadcasters are on board. Looks like Youtube livestream all the way!!

I dont mind youtube at all its HD better than PTV but i am pretty sure they would have mentioned it in above article and they would never put international matches on there

Looks like UK wont be broadcasting it

I doubt that at this day and age plus in a pandemic I cant believe they wont show it.

They have left it very late and i am sure its to do with the new contract as they have to sell every series now overseas

I no its poor the series should have broadcasted was looking foward to it

Typical for PCB to do this right before a series no matter how big or small the opposition.

They just seem to like to leave their international viewers in a limbo right before a series as this happens every single time series after series.

I'm more irritated as mostly I take time off to actually sit and watch these in good spirits.

I think all of us overseas should ask send Saj a message to forward an email to wasim khan regarding this.

Believe it or not i actually thought with pcb taking control and produce HD they might outsource to BT or skysports for once

Sky is showing the IPL so they won't be interested.

BT Sport rarely show cricket.

If it happens it will be last minute and probably one of the desi channels.

BT have an agreement with australia to show all home matches even showing womens big bash there.

Normally it would be desis for sure but because they are out of contract with the last one i thought it could be anybody now

UK viewers may be able to watch the Pakistan v Zimbabwe series via PCB YouTube streaming link as the PCB have been unable to secure a deal with Sky etc at this time

Many thanks MenIng bro but i doubt they would do that. They would lose out on revenue and with new deal with Supersports surely they wouldn't let any broadcast on you tube i hope i am wrong as you tube livestream would be great

The contempt shown by successive PCB administrations for overseas Pakistan cricket fans is appalling. Less than 24 hours out from the start of the series and we've no public statement from PCB about whether this series will be broadcasted in the UK or not.

I'm not fussed either way as I'm not interested in meaningless minnow bashing and have enjoyed domestic cricket more than our international matches recently. But the lack of communication is disappointing despite progress PCB have made in many areas.

The situation has got progressively worse, i remember the early 00's when ARY Digital was the new desi channel on Sky and snapped up the rights quickly to Paks home games and sharjah cups etc, to be fair the coverage was not that bad for those times, probably was produced by Ten sports, but the board have definitely missed a trick since then, sky UK carry windies and NZ home games, those boards are of a similar stature to ours so no reason why we cant negotiate something similar.

Broadcasting and official merchandising is a revenue stream the PCB have never explored, i think the market for overseas pakistanis is bigger than they think.

Its gonna be on the PCB YouTube channel for UK viewers.

Yes great times they were , and even greater players to watch - used to get goosebumps on seeing the adverts in late 90s and early 2000s for live coverage of Sharjah Cup , with the prospect of watching the likes of Wasim, Waqar, Shoaib, Saeed Anwar , Inzamam, Ijaz , Afridi in action.

Now we have Imad Wasim and Shan Masood to look forward to watching.

Remember the old desi ads ? Communications 2000, Lahore Lahore Eh etc.

Those were the days.

The issue sometimes is when Pakistan series are played, such as the current one which is clashing with the IPL. There is no way Sky Sports would choose a Pakistan series over the IPL especially with England players at the IPL.

A major problem also over the years has been that PCB arranges series at the last minute and that doesn't work for broadcasters around the world.

Mani and Wasim need to build bridges with some of these broadcasters and that has started with SuperSport.

Its Pakistan vs Zimbabwe, it wont be on free to Air or Foxtel. Your best bet is to watch online.

I have real tv box cost 200 aud a year and I get all the channels of the world... like literally all channels from India to Pakistan to timbaktoo... i will watch this on PTV it’s nice timing 6 in the evening. It’s been a long time I have seen on odi.
Will catch pre match Game in hai as well with Akhtar singing self praises every 2 mins

Whenever Asian channels show cricket in the UK I have seen people always moan about them. The adverts, quality etc, but I would always take that over no coverage like in the 1980’s and 1990’s.
I don’t understand why people keep asking why it’s not on sky?. Well Sky have never really been interested and only briefly had rights for Pak home matches around 1999. Apart from when England visit there is no chance. And, why would there be as this ain’t a star and attractive Pak team like say of the 1990’s.
Looks like there will most likely be no coverage this time round or if there is it will be last minute.

Seems like we international viewers once again will be watching a 10 min behind stream on YT with shambolic graphics and camera work.

And Ifti. :ua

Will be broadcasted on PCB YT for UK audience, PCB not formally announcing it & may not do it as they are in talks with a major channel to finalise a deal for Pakistan home games, deal may even start from Zim T20Is fingers crossed.

I doubt it ...i also dont think supersport are showing today and will start fom sunday

Its not on sony india which i thought....its not on supersport the first match anyways which i thought ..there is no live stream which i knew would be the case..

It’s on SuperSport Cricket ..

Just seen a stream on supersports ..its full HD and absolute perfect..grt stuff pcb hope just get a similar deal in uk

Full HD on supersports Cricket channel...youtube stream not bad just audio messed up.

All these much better than ptv sports

Coverage has gone backwards from National T20. While the graphics are better, the piped in crowd noise is awfully distracting.

Who could forget the insightful analysis from PJ MIR :)), those really were the golden days that blossomed my love for the game.

The graphic on the match on YouTube was very good. The audio was not as good but okay

Bro we cant moan better than nothing and miles better than PTV sports.

One thing i did notice i kept on flicking through my supersport stream when ever that worked and it was like 1080HD rather than 720 HD off you tubes.

That makes me wonder maybe Wasim khan is running his magic within europe and Uk to get something good boxed off very soon.

100 percent only watched the last quarter of the match and the graphics was good .Yes I think he is trying to sort something if he pulls something decent that would be incredible and deserves every penny

The graphics were fine but my YouTube stream had spells of breaking up. Would prefer it is on TV.

The graphics are a slight upgrade than the T20 Cup but still they're quite small especially when you're watching on the big screen. The sound quality was quite bad and only in the last 10 overs or so of the game they made it better with the stream at 1080p.

Thanks Saj keep us updated if there is breakthrough.

One more question i was watching quaid live stream and that was in 1080 HD yet when they put the international match on Friday it was 720 .why would that be

Does anyone know if it is being shown in the UAE and if so, which channel? All Pakistan "home" games used to be shown on Ten Cricket which was a standalone channel but it seems to have disappeared without a trace in that I haven't changed my subscription but no longer get Ten Cricket. Which is a shame as they also used to have the rights in the Middle East for Sri Lanka, South Africa, Zimbabwe and West Indies home series.

I know it is "only" Zimbabwe but feel the PCB missed a trick by not adding one test to the schedule. Sure that would have attracted some foreign tv rights given how bereft we have been of cricket since March. On that topic, outside the Indian diaspora, I doubt the IPL would be more attractive than ODIs/T20 between two test nations, after all who cares if Bombay Cement beat Calcutta Cigarettes in some slogfest?

Broadcast details as of now:

Pakistan: PTV
Africa: SuperSport
Rest of the World: PCB YouTube channel, no delay

For viewers in Pakistan, YouTube stream is delayed by 10 mins, no delay for foriegn viewers

PCB were unable to sell the rights for the Zimbabwe series anywhere in the world apart from Africa.

Perhaps the consultants appointed by PCB need to get their finger out and earn their fees.

For a fan, youtube is arguably the most accessible platform to watch Pakistan cricket. The coverage is effectively FTA. As long as the stream quality is first-class, which apart from some hiccups with the audio seems to be the case, there shouldn't be much reason to moan and complain.

The future of sports broadcasting is online.

It is Zimbabwe series clashing with IPL so that may be the reason.

But PCB must sell its rights on long term basis and not series by series.

I am loving the youtube but i know pcb will be losing money this way. I am sure it will be a long term contract like supersports for 3 yrs. I guess we dont play again till next yr at home so maybe thats why

Pakistan hosts South Africa in Jan-Feb for 2 Tests & 3 T20Is & a potential 3 match T20I Series against England. Also PCB is selling PSL rights as part of package so that means more Cricket.
