So what do Pakistan do now?

Time to bring in Abid Ali, M Amir back?

The batting is way too weak and the bowling is average.

Pakistan will win when Australia starts resting its main players and plays a "C" team instead of a "B" team.

That could be the 4th match or the 5th match.

Abid Ali and Saad Ali should be given a chance since we have already lost the series.

I do not mind losing at all that's part of sports but what I do mind is the incapability of the entire think tank to see the obvious things.

1. Imam is not a modern player and he should not be a sure starter and Shan's best chance was RSA where the pitches might have suited his horizontal bat game.

2. The middle order is non-existent than u have glucose requiring power hitters who just don't have the power game or the mental tactical ability to play field.

3. Yasir shah is not an ODI bowler

4. There are no wicket taking fast bowlers in the bench strengh. Shinwari and Junaid are nothing at all.

So if they show fight and lose that's fine but this is not on.

Bro switch to Skiing and World Rally Championship.

At least they try to win.

Pakistan looks for first win over Australia

Dubai, 28 March 2019:

Pakistan cricket team is determined to win the remaining two matches of the series against Australia as the two sides meet in the fourth ODI in Dubai on Friday.

Australia have an unassailable 3-0 lead in the five-match series after identical eight-wicket wins in the two Sharjah matches, before they won the third in Abu Dhabi by 80 runs on Wednesday.

Pakistan’s stand-in skipper Shoaib Malik said it was important to back the young players who have tried to press their claims for the available places in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, which will be played in England and Wales from 30 May to 14 July.

“We are trying to give all the players chances so the selection committee and team management have a better picture in front of them,” said Malik. “Its international cricket, so every game is important. We have two more opportunities. If we win two games, we have something in our pocket.”

Malik said batsmen did not keep track in their chase for a 267-run target in Abu Dhabi.

“When you chase, you need to keep wickets and go deep in the game, that’s where you create chances, but we couldn’t do that,” said Malik of Pakistan who were dismissed for 186 in 44.4 overs.

Malik praised the Australia bowlers.

“The Australia bowlers were seaming and swinging the ball around. If you give couple of chances to a good batsman, then expect to chase something big. Getting opportunities and grabbing them is the key of the game,” said Malik, who scored 32 runs.

Imam-ul-Haq top-scored with 46 while Imad Wasim (43) and Umar Akmal (36) were the other batsmen who got good starts but did not go on to help Pakistan chase down the target.

Pakistan are likely to try out uncapped opener-cum-keeper Abid Ali and one-drop batsman Saad Ali.

Australia will be aiming to give right-handed batsman Ashton Turner a chance after his brilliant hitting at Mohali during the series against India.

Skipper Aaron Finch stressed over the need to continue building the side.

“We’ve been building up and doing the basics well. Any time you can beat India and Pakistan in their home conditions, is good,” said Finch. “We’re playing spin a lot better than we have in the past and that is an improvement.

“Handscomb played a good innings before he was knocked over by a good ball. Partnerships don’t allow the opposition to get on top. That’s been an improvement. Maxwell and Handscomb both played great knocks. As a captain, it’s very hard to set fields to guys like that.”

The last match will also be in Dubai on Sunday.

Abid is more of a Test player

1. Abid Ali
2. Shan Masood
3. Saad Ali
4. Haris Sohail
5. Mohammad Rizwan
6. Shoaib Malik
7. Imad Wasim
8. Yasir Shah
9. Mohammad Amir
10. Usman Shinwari
11. Junaid Khan

This is the XI i want to see

Usman Shinwari to score a century in this one with both bat and ball, being the first player to do so.

Those players in the squad who have not played yet should be given a chance. Umar Akmal has had his chance now and he has not taken it. He bats poorly and is not what Pakistan needs. He needs to be dropped before the World Cup and more deserving batsmen who can build an innings be given a chance.

Abid Ali
Umar Akmal
Haris Sohail🎾
Mohammad Rizwan
Saad Ali
Shoaib Malik🎾
Imad Wasim🎾
Mohammad Abbas
Junaid Khan
Mohammad Hasnain
Usman Khan

M Husnain a good young bowler but is too rAw and needs to learn variety and particularly needs to learn to bowl yorkers. Currently he is well short of an international standard. Speed is not everything and bowlers can be taken for many runs if they don’t have variety in their bowling.

Let’s look at Abid and Saad Ali. Pakistan desperately needs good batsmen who can build an innings not just sloggers

Hassan Talat And Asif Ali have failed to progress and have struggled. If they had been able to build on their game they could have been highly regarded international batsmen. Why do Pakistani batsmen struggle to progress after a certain point in their career?. Is it their mentality and or poor and or lack of coaching and what can be done by the PCB TO IMPROVE THE PROGRESS AND FORM OF THE TOP PROSPECTS IN PAKISTAN.

Must be the coaching and support mechanisms. If you look at the likes of Roy and Buttler, they weren't anything special when they came on the scene but are now beasts in the ODI format.

Some are not good enough others have mental and concentration issues like Akmal some score too slow like Imam and Azhar it's a mixture not all can be coached into better players but there are a few however they need the confidence and backing.

And the torture continues...

This team has forgotten how to win. Dangerous signs. Thanks to whoever picked Yasir Shah though.

That is the whole purpose of this series. To kick them out before world cup.

Abid Ali is a Test match player not ODI.

Those asking for his selection will only be disappointed.

And Saad Ali is another one of the overrated players like Sahibzada Farhan.

Umar
Shan
Abid
Sohail(c)
Saad
Rizwan
Imad
Amir
Hasnain
Abbas
Junaid

Please actually try something different for once Mickey.

Give rest to Malik and Imam. Because both the players are likely to be part of the WC squad. Make Imad captain. Bring Abid Ali and Saad Ali. Drop Yasir Shah in place of Amir.
