If you bat first you should be able to compete with windies on a fresh Trent bridge wicket . It is a bat first wicket after all. However, if you bowl first there you will have some dished out to your bowlers, considering their current form.

This is true for India as well though. There's a good chance that we'll crash out without qualifying for the semis with our oldies' weaknesses exposed. Atleast there are no expectations of Pakistan after your record in last two years. For India, it would much more humiliating considering the amount of hype we've had.

Cricket is meant to be an outdoor sport..they can built roofs that closes like tennis stadiums but it takes a lot of time and lot of money even for the tennis stadiums which are lot smaller in comparison with cricket stadiums
