Ex Indian players are the biggest fan girls of Pak cricket.

Is this the same guy who said Pakistani players praise India so they can earn money there?

Pakistan coach Waqar Younis has urged his team to be watchful and play their best cricket when they face Bangladesh in their opening encounter of the 2016 ICC World Twenty20.

Pakistan’s departure to India for the World T20 was also marred by security concerns which led to the India-Pakistan match being shifted from Dharamsala to Kolkata.

Younis wants the Pakistan players to leave the past behind them and completely focus on the games on hand.

"We had a bit of drama before coming here, we had a bit of controversy yesterday also.

"My message to the boys will be to leave everything behind because this is about playing for the nation, this is about playing some quality cricket and they're all capable of playing good cricket.

"We are the kind of team that once we click, once we get the momentum going, we can surprise people."

Pakistan’s recent form in T20Is has not been very impressive, having lost the series against England and New Zealand following which they also failed to reach the finals of the Asia Cup.

Stating that the playing conditions in Kolkata are different to the ones Pakistan faced in the 2016 Asia Cup, Younis further added that if the team plays good cricket, they can nullify the effect of the pitch.

"I have seen the wicket, definitely different conditions to Bangladesh.

“But when you play good cricket, conditions do not really matter that much.

"I think Bangladesh are playing very good cricket so we've got to be really watchful and we have to come out really strong to beat them."

Pakistan, who are placed in the Group 2 of the Super 10 stages of the ICC World T20 will take on Bangladesh on 16th March in Kolkata in their first match of the tournament.

Tamim is key for Bangladesh. Get him out early and that will put the pressure on them.

Pakistan win the crucial toss and Bangladesh is already 70% out of the game :))

Pak win toss and bat first.

Arafat chucky comes in for bangla  have some shame bangladesh

Bangladesh lol no Mustafizur and lost the toss.

-Mortaza: "Would have wanted to bat as well. Anyway, we have to bowl well right now. Boys should play with confidence that they can go through from here. Still group is open if we win first game. From last match we have one change, Arafat Sunny comes in for Abu Haider."

It's a day match. No due in second innings and also Pitch is going to remain same through out the match.

Toss wasn't that important Ia.

Afridi saying,"we are playing 6 genuine batsmen and 2 all rounder, what else can we do about batting?" Hahahaha :))

Only way we can win this match if we manage to score over 150 and think as underdog so we can apply more. After all we have nothing to loose.

Brilliant move by bangladeah to take full advantage of chucker before he gets banned

Its not about the pitch only its about the mental game,Pakistanis aren't great chasers but they have defended low scores

So, Malik at 4. Akmal at 5 followed by Sarfraz, Afridi and Imad. Really need the openers to do well here.

If Mustafiz doesnt play, Bangladesh are already 80 percent out of the game.

Interesting stat.
Pakistan has least contribution from their top 3 batsman among also nations.

Pakistan: 1 Shehzad, 2 Sharjeel, 3 Hafeez, 4 Malik, 5 U Akmal, 6 Sarfraz (wk), 7 Afridi, 8 Imad Wasim, 9 Wahab, 10 Amir, 11 Irfan

Bangladesh 1 Tamim, 2 Soumya, 3 Sabbir, 4 Shakib, 5 Mahmudullah, 6 Mushfiqur (wk), 7 Mithun, 8 Mashrafe (capt), 9 Sunny, 10 Taskin, 11 Al-Amin

Bangladesh chased recently against them. I don't think BD will be that much bothered.

Batting first.

The lack of a front-line spinner may come to haunt us, but this is probably the best team possible from the squad.

And thank heavens, no Sami or Anwar. That misfiled coupled with the no-balls should have been the end of Sami.

Red Devil See we're playing the exact same line up I told you earlier.

Shehzad, Sharjeel and Hafeez as 1,2 and 3

Pakistan's top order contributes 34.9% of the total score which is the lowest among all teams. Bangladesh's top order contributes 52%.

No Mustafiz...

Bangla gonna be whipped

Don't be too excited!!! Tamim is red hot form. Bangladesh has Sabbir, Tamim, Mammullah, Musfiq who are better than any of our batsman. Apart from Amir (Not suitable for T20) we have no class bowler. We have Shehzad is dot ball king, Hafeez pressure game choker, Akmal brainless slogger, Sharjeel & Afridi are hit & miss player. I can rely only Maliq and Sarfraz as batman & Amir has bowler.
Its 70-30.

Our man Andrew Fernando has pitched his tent at the Eden Gardens and this is what he sees. "Kolkata has turned out a sweltering day for its first match of the tournament. The stands are mostly empty for now, but there is some very vocal Bangladesh support, wearing green and red. The teams are both warming up. Bangladesh's fielding drills look a little more advanced than Pakistan's." :shakib

should have gone with nawaz instead of wahab,
shakib played for KKR he knows these conditions so well.

Kolkata is so near Dhaka why haven't more Bangladeshis turned up for the match should had occupied the whole ground.

Lets hope we dont mess up the 1st six overs as usual and eat up loads of dot balls, we need to post a total of 160 on this wicket today.
