Pakistan vs New Zealand | 1st Test | Abu Dhabi | Nov 16-20, 2018 | Day 4 Thread

Pakistan has this provided they bat positively and don't fall into the misbah Azhar ali slow batting mistake
 
Pakistan should win this , but they need to be positive here and not get into shell.
 
My suggestion is the moment Pakistan lose one wicket either hafeez or imam, captain should send bilal asif at 3. As a pinch hitter. His aggressive 15-20 could really ease the pressure.

Very interesting idea, will Sarfraz promote Hasan and Bilal up the order to stop a collapse and get more out of the tail? Less pressure for them and can counter attack too.
 
Sarfraz himself could come up the order as well. I have fond memories of Imran coming at 3 during 92 final.
 
Mark Taylor did it in 1996 world cup quarter final against Kiwiz in India. Chasing 287, he sent Shane Warne at 3. Warne’s two massive sixes really made the difference in easing of nerves. Aussies won easily. Lee Germon was shocked.
 
It's day 4 and 139 runs needed and we're thinking to bring Hasan and Bilal. :D
C'mon guys I know it is going to be a tough case but yes we're eligble to chase this total. But yes it is going to be a 50/50 match for both side. But I'd go with Pakistan
 
Ball is almost turning square, and it's only 10 overs old, could be an interesting chase indeed

Both batsmen got out because they didn't read the length. Imam went back to a delivery he should have gone forward to. Hafeez reached too far forward
 
Remember that Hafeez made one hundred 5 innings ago so he doesn't need to do anything for next 5 more innings. DOn't expect much against SA. What a tragedy that Azhar & Hafeez who have played 15 years now but still the weak link. They should be the one filling Misbah & Yonus place.

We probably would have lost that game without Misbah and Younis to steady the ship. We have noone with that kind of stability and ability to handle pressure in our team right now
 
Babar has been Pakistan's best Test batsman recently. He should've been at 4, also knowing that he is hopeless with the tail.
 
The last two balls Azhar Ali has been winding up as if he wants to hit a six. LOL
 
Azhar Ali is the last batsman on earth I would want in at this stage. At this point you need runs, not a blockathon which he will do and put pressure on the whole team. And he will get out too.
 
NZ, as expected, proving a much tougher fight than Australia. Two more quick wickets and this should be a walk in the park for the Kiwis. Nothing new from Pakistan. This is how they win matches, kicking and screaming to the very end.

Can't rely on Azhar at all. We may play Faheem ahead of him next match. Azhar neither at nor ball. Same goes with Hafeez as well.
 
Paks batting has always been pathetic NOT 1 sweep of the spinners... new low YK would have swept pak to 175
 
Haris is finished as well. We need to induct newer players preferably younger.
 
Best in Asia, best at home trololol. No professionalism, no domination.
 
That hafeez 100 vs Australia will haunt us for long now

A high full toss from Sodhi hit straight to the fielder again. What is with Pakistan and full tosses this match?
 
Has hafeez ever performed under pressure? I wish there was a stats gueu “pressure” filter .. :(

The dude always collapses like jello when the pressure is on..
 
Azhar & Asad strugling to put full tosses away.. theyv both played 60 tests feels like they have played 1 test 60 times over...
 
Let’s see if the fake seniors can forge a partnership here. Either way, Shafiq will have to carry the nightwatchman.

Shafiq averages 39 in tests and he is there for so many years now batting down the order.
 
Farigh.. our guys redefine the term “maathhey”.. aik dum maathhey, like uncle sargan used to say!
 
Sodhi is bowling rank full tosses and our players are either getting out to them or mistiming them completely to fielders. Man I miss Younis in the UAE
