None of the teams are comfortable fighting out a draw on day 5 these days. Pakistan lost when they crumbled in the second innings. The fourth inning disaster was kind of expected.

Yes, I seriously thought that Bangladesh should have been stopped playing tests for few years .
Nevertheless, if Pakistan loses here series, it should be eye opening for everyone. That 2017 CT win was hiding the actual picture . Pakistani cricket is going in the direction of WI , even more downwards direction as there is no cricket at actual home. At least selectors should form team solely on the the basis of performance.

To stop playing never happens, there are just 8,9 teams in cricket.

I would have agree regarding the direction of WI if there werent decent players being produced. When a country is producing players but it isnt able to utilize them then the captain and coach need to answer.

There were atleast 4 or 5 better options than Bilal available but they just sticked with him. 2nd good spinner would have made a big difference.

When was the last time a 38 years old opener opened in tests? Dont we have any openers left? Yes we have although its a weak are but still we have players with reflexes.

Its just mismanagement of the selection, strategies and captaincy. NZ without any half decent spinner are able to win the series just bcz of Williamson’s performance and his captaincy.

Handling the team makes a big big difference.

Because some of the players are given a guarantee that they wont be touched and dropped no matter what they do or how they perform. List Includes Imam,Babar,Hasan,Shaheen,Amir and the new PSL lot.
There is other group who are always under fire the likes of Sarfraz,Azhar and Asad. The way Ramiz n co slate them during commentary on a single mistake but cover up the blunders of their favourites shows the team is being built on the basis of favouritism.And the big defeats shouldnt surprise anyone after such attitude

Bangladesh is still a minnow. But Pakistan became a test champion ,no 1 and within a very short time after retirement of two players they are now no 7 in rankings ( not sure though, Icc test predictor showing it). This series lose was a real shameful.Pak think tank should sit, think and save Pak cricket from being WI's

When you play a 33 year old spinner averaging 33, 34 in FC over spinners with average of under 25 in FC and are more energetic and fit what else do we expect.

Also playing a 38 year old opener in tests who is making his comeback never helps.
