Pakistan vs Rest of South Africa

Pakistan should declare now. I can't see any purpose of Asif and Danish getting some batting practice

Bodi is Indian born and a very good opener. Useful spinner on turning wickets as well

Duminy is South Africa's most promising younsters. The guy bats like Ponting.

I really don't understand why Pakistan agreed to play in Kimberly especially as Woolmer knows this ground
 
gul only bowled 3 overs and rana not playing at all ... this is really stupid !!!

rana has been of late the best bowler in pakistan ... why is he not being given a chance in this warm up match !?!?!?

I'd laugh if Danish got a hatrick now.

But yeah good point, Rehman would have been a good option.

:20: Your comparing both bowlers over a period of 7 overs! Its like saying that if Andrew Symonds got a couple of wickets and Warne was wicketless then Warne is useless!

not 7 overs .. how about the last couple of years when kaneria has been averaging 45+and only either picks up tail-enders or gets wickets after he gives up 100 runs.
 
We are so much better than this ROSA team..........mismatch of the century this game.

20 overs bowled between our 2 aces asif and danish ... and neither one of them have picked up a wicket against this second rate club side... shobby must be laughing his a$$ off !

Second rate club side with 7 international players yeah.

Thankfully I am sure Shoaib wants Pakistan to do well and wont be laughing at our failings unlike some knob heads

Surely with 7 international players which you took note to point out, then it wouldn't be the mismatch of the century.

Playing Kenya or Zimbabwe wouldn't be mismatch of the century.

Have a look at the match.

We score 485 for the loss of 7 in 111 overs.
They are 140 for 4 after 48.

I was commenting on the one sidedness of the match and our complete destruction of them so far. It doesn't matter if they have 7 international players........we are clearly unbelievably better than them. Hence my (light hearted may I add) 'mismatch of the century' remark.

Fine ok we have dominated. So then you would also expect Danish, our main spin bowler on this tour to get atleast a wicket in his 13 overs. Where as the part time spinner has already chipped in with 2.

That is the problem with following a game on cricinfo. We have absolutely no idea what is going on and how everyone is bowling. Danish may be bowling very well.

Best not to assume in my opinion.......people have made a lot of assumptions about this Pakistan team over recent times and they have come back to bite them pretty hard.

kaneria is averaging almost 40 in his last 10 matches ( which have been against moslty cr@p batting teams like england and windies).

:)) some people never learn!

It's ok though, if the recent history of this Pakistan team is anything to go by they will be made to eat their words again (lost count of the number of times the wrist slitters have been made to do this in fact!)

Let us hope we break everything ROSA has to offer. Especially in the minimum of 3 overs left.

Stumps on day 2. Rest of South Africa 220/4. Would have liked one more wicket, but can't complain since its a flat wicket.
 
Looks definately like a batting pitch well hopefully pak can still get them out tomorrow quickly

i hope pak does well tomrow...but what they did today wasn't so good
they messed their situation up so much today...
first they didn't bat well..then they couldn't get their late middle order out..
they need to find ways to tackle the opponents..otherwise they would all struggle against the africans national side..
and not just struggle..but suffer!
 
Pakistani bowling is getting hammered ... Some food for thought for folks who felt that the Pakistani attack was better than Indians .. Did India play the same team in their tour opener ??

It was suggested at that point in time - that the India tour opener was played on the flattest track available in SA .. However , India lost quick wickets in the first innings ..they eventually scored 300 + and won the match

Its a well known fact that Kimberley is the flattest track in SA. Potchefstroom is perhaps the second. Pakistan scored 485/9.. without Inzi, without Yousuf.

Batting seems to be ok - I was referring to the lack of fire power in bowling department ..Looks like the current bowling attack is struggling against RSA

pak will regret if rana is not played in the series ....both gul n asif wont be effetcive pitches which dosen assist bowlers!

Not really. Only two of their batsman did any damage. We dealt with the rest very easily. They are 382 for 8 anyway (over 100 behind with only 2 wickets, we have comfortably out performed them in both departments).

Nazir has been fantastic.

Nazir should be dropped from the team! hes a crap medium pace bowler who only takes wickets with new ball or in bowler friendly conditions.

We need swing of rana or pace of sami, we need bowlers who can run thru test sides.
