Update from the Asian Games: Malayisa has beaten India in the hockey semi-final to win a place in the final against Pakistan.
 
what is misbah saving the fast bowlers for..last innings of the last match of the series
 
baffling stuff from pakistan. gone on the defensive immediately after lunch.

the only explanation i can think of is that they're trying to stem the flow of runs till the ball starts to reverse, then get gul and tanvir on.

and as i type that rehman gets a wicket...lets see how the fields are set now
 
darmiyaana akmal trying to inject some energy into the pakistan side, good to see, they looked asleep before that wicket.
 
At rate S.A are scoring now they could easily declare tonight and give pakistan a few overs to bat tonight!

I think we need to keep them there.

Boucher could come in and score a quick fire 50, and it will be us batting tonight.
 
Pakistan position is much better because both are tuk tuk players and I'm sure by tomorrow the score will not be more than 350 on the board.
 
Why does everybody wonder why Kallis is criticised so often? Just turn your telly on now.

Pak need to play this like a One Dayer now - restrict SA to a chaseable score.
 
Now SA must ba a bit worried themselves, especially if Smith is not able to batl!

I think if you do turn it on, you must just be in time to watch Kallis show some incredible hitting against the spinners. Which he is very capable of and liekly to start doing soon.
 
hell-yeah, he's already booked to taste the Kiwi's chicken what he need now is to make-sure get all the Saffies out asap and watch the Arabian belly dance.
 
Come off it. This is not the first time he has bottled it and brought the innings to a standstill in the 2nd innings when the pressure is on, and it will not be the last! Great player my foot.

17 overs to go. Minus 2 for change of innings so South Africa will have to get a move on if they want Pakistan to bat this evening.

They're looking to get that no.1 ranking so will be desperate for a win, which might just make their declaration a little generous.

Great player doesn't come close to describing how good Kallis is. He deserves better adjectives that "great". His record speaks for itself.

The guy averages 56 and has 37 hundreds FFS. And half of that scored on South African tracks where guys like Tendulkar average 30. Oh and has almost got 300 test wickets to boot and an average better than all the current Pakitani bowlers.
 
If we can somehow restrict them to around 350-375 InshAllah we could go for the win if Adnan Akmal can provide an Akmal blitz. :adnan

His batting average is stunning, no doubt about it - but his strike rate is miserable, and we have seen this sort of rubbish from him in tight games on many occasions. His bowling is also nothing special, averages around 1 wicket per international game, absolutely nothing special at all.
 
Kallis getting out is bad.. should have kept him there at his pace. :P

Boucher plays fast.
 
I hope this isnt a sign to come in regards to spinners bowling well as we still have to bat last!
