easy bhai, we're still in this game.. obviously I'd rather we didn't lose quick wickets but it was almost expected..

Up to Inzamam and Yousuf again, lets just hope it doesn't end in tears with a pathetic run out or something :P

I expect 5 wickets down minimum at this stage. Inzi will not make any runs as he is finished and Yousaf is out of nick. Misbah is not a test player so no expectation there. My prediction is for 190 - 220 all out. And a very heavy defeat on the cards. Before people go ballistic - it is my opinion. And it's based not on blind loyalty - it's based on an honest assessment of the form and qualities of each player. Not being negative - it's actually being positive. Im positive that this will be the Pak score.

Hopefully these two will put Harris in his place by treating him with the contempt his lack of talent deserves.

Looks like Pakistan will struggle to get close to S.A 350... another poor display with the bat! The middle order has been poor in performance!

dang Moyo out lbw, looks a bit high on replay

[Mod Edit: I trust that was a typo and not deliberate]

132/5 I think.

I should have put some money on this. Our spineless team guarantees this every time.

Hoping for a big 5th wicket partnership, and a late rally with the tail.

31.1 Steyn to Mohammad Yousuf, OUT, Steyn goes in short, Yousuf is on the pull, the ball stays very low, must have come of a crack, hits the pads and Benson agrees with the appeals, may have been high but the umpire and players had no doubts
Mohammad Yousuf lbw b Steyn 25 (39b 3x4 0x6) SR: 64.10

Whats up with (it might have been high) come on its either high or not!!!!!!!!!!

you have to take the bad decisions... hoping they get a few as well.

collapse is well and truly on... with our batting line up (not considering form just names and numbers) - i was expecting at least 500 on this pitch with the number of batter we have... It may be us going for the draw

Having said that... SA were in quite a similar position but PARTNERSHIPS clawed them out... that's what we need to start doing

i bet inzi won't be given out lbw this match on even the plumbest of deliveries.

Still 12 overs left of the day and Pakistan trail by 227 runs

misbah needs to play his natural aggressive game here.

just pretend this is another T20 match.

33.4 Steyn to Misbah Ul-Haq, FOUR!!, fuller length delivery outside the off stump, sliding into the right hander, Misbah Ul-Haq leans into the shot and drives it to extra cover for four, what lovely balance on that occasion, he was in full control of that shot!!!

Misbah should wear an arm guard - he has a tendency to duck into balls and get hit on the arm/shoulder/back

Seen it at least 4-5 times now

thats the one i was talking about

creates doubt in the batsman's mind

what should i do

35.4 Nel to Inzamam, FOUR!!, fuller length delivery outside the off stump, sliding into the right hander, Inzamam comes on the frontfoot and drives it to deep extra cover for four, that was timed to perfection, shot of a man who reflects sheer class!!!

Inzi lucky still to be there - nearly watched the ball drop onto the stumps!

oye hoy hoy that was close. Inzi almost dragged the ball on to the stumps

Some pakistan batsmen in this team needs to get a hundred! To many bloody starts and throw aways!

Well, the umpires are having a chat now. It has certainly got a lot darker now at the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore. They offer the light to the batsmen and the Pakistani batsmen accept it gladly. Off go the players and with that, it is Stumps on Day 2!!

Pak 140/4 at close, we need a good 1st session tomorrow!

What was the point of our openers getting us a start if we were going to collapse straight after?

Younis played a lazy shot and Yousuf was wrongly given out.

But we are not out of it.

Inzi, Misbah and Malik left. One of these needs a hundred and another needs a 70 or so.

we need one century from the remaining 3 batsmen

tomorrow will be inzys day :D

SA are ahead at the moment.

But a good session tomorrow morning will see us draw level.

The stage is set for a memorable fairwell from Inzi.

We really need to bat for most of tomorrow to stand a decent chance of winning. Get a lead of 50-70. And then We need to bowl out of our skins with only 4 front line bowlers. We need to do that to save the series, and that's what matters.

To do the above, we need ul-haq, both - little (relitively speaking) and large to score close to hundred and we need Malik to score big as well - if the tail wags, all the better. At a run rate of about 3.8 - batting for 70 overs would bring us to a total of about 400. With a little spurt at the end we could get 420 in 70 odd overs. Then we would need to bowl around 10 overs to SA before light. And hopefully snatch a wicket or 2.

If we can't do that, I think the series has gone. If we Pick a team with only 4 front line bowlers, and make a score of less than 400 - it shows how bad our batting line up is and also our lack of world class front line bowlers.

Inshallah :) (As the man himself would say!)

Anyway hopefully he'll have a final test match to remember!

With Yousuf and Inzamam at the crease at the end of the day, I would think its an "evens stevens" (ala Waqar) but with Yousuf gone to that poor decision, South Africa are just ahead. It all depends on our these two and then Malik.

Its not over yet.

You really have been listening to too much of Waqar :D

When the openers fired, the middle order didnt. I had given up on the openers and they came out with all guns blazing and raced to 90. I was expecting a lot of runs from the middle-order and we got to see two of our main batsmen getting knocked over cheaply (although one was gifted to the Saffies thanks to Benson)

The two Haqs have to bat out of their skins tomorrow. I hope Inzi gets a deserving century in his last test match!

The Pakistani team is just jinxed. When the openers fail the middle and the lower order fires. When the openers fire the middle and lower order fails. I can never expect this team to be consistent fullstop.

Its sad we cannot take home turf advantage like Inida and SL. India has always dominated teams like England, SA and New Zeland (Australia to some extent) with Kumble and Hrabhajan. Somehow, we lack that class. Flat tracks where we cannot get Kallis out and are Team is not even getting 300. 140 for 4 today after a 90/0 start.
