although nazir returned the ball.dont think it was great return..it was just a suicidal second run. - but suppose you need fresh bighitters here so..its good timing..

need to see gul bowl yorker length deliveries.

237/3
44 Overs gone

Good over by Rao mashallah only 3 from it and good yorker to end the over.

Kemp Out lbw!! i dont see how you could give an lbw decision from that angle though.

2 very good overs by Rao, i thought Gul should be bowling but Rao really bowling good

Finally Saffers get more than a single:

45.4 Iftikhar Anjum to Boucher, 2 runs, another one that reverses in late, full and on the middle and off, Boucher drives down the ground and Malik fumbles as he rushes across from long off

Tanveer might have cost us the match here 21 off the over, 300 now very likely

miscalculation on maliks part to give him to bowl in the end

21 off that over... Gul back in the attack. Hopefully we can keep them under 300.

malik should have bowled tanvir for 2 and then changed to gul and back again.

How can you make such throw away statements...do you expect him to be able to see into the future ? If the last over had gone for 3 or 4 ??

it is all about changing the bowling in the last 5 overs. You cant expet to keep getting away with 3/5 runs an over. Batsmen get used to swing and pace.

Malik's bought Gul on from the end Rao was operating from.

Will he continue with Tanveer from his end?

AB de Villiers cramping up.. :20: .... Signs of concern in this young age because it has not happened to him for the first or second time but always when he plays half a long Innings. I can´t suspect his fitness level because he is one of the top five fielders in the world and probably the best in his side.

Poor effort on umar gul part..he knew it was last ball..and ruined a good over

6666 off the last ball ruins a good over by gul.

278-4 with 2 overs left.

Pollock comes into bat in the last over

288/5

Gul to Pollock

Eeeyeaaaahhhhh! Third hundred for AB de Villiers who scored his first during the World Cup 2007. He seriously lacks consistency but is a treat to watch. Has one fifty and two consecutive hundreds in the last three ODIs he has played. So certainly some consistency there for you!

Congratulations to him! Well played again :14: :14: !

Gonna be a tough ask...but inshallah if our batsman come off...we can do this. Afridi needs to fire. Nazir needs to give pakistan the quick strong start that us pakistanis dream of geting from the openers. The midle order needs to play solidly with afridi coming donw the oerder to get the win.

Im off for breakfast.

South Africa finish on 294 with the loss of 5 wickets. De Villiers and Gibbs making centuries

295 on this track would be extremely tough to chase. The ball is not coming onto the bat and Saffie seamers are well accomplished in taking the pace off the ball. The batsmen have to bat out of their skins to win this one

Afridi & Nazir need to fire if Pakistan are to win, 294 on this track is going to be very hard to chase. Atleast 1 batsman needs to go out there & score 90+

I hope pakistan make a go of it and arent 40 - 4 or whatever....boring !

I just get the feeling that Saffies couldn´t get enough on the board despite having two century scorers in it. You would expect a team to cross 320 mark when two of your batsman get to hundred. It´s definately a chasable total and openers should stand up and be counted. I reckon Pakistan will get their..........

pffffttt .. not with our batting !!!

if we had some decent openers .. maybe ...

but chasing 295 from 10/2 is difficult.

i hate to be pessimistic here .. but realistically i'd say we have a 20% chance of winning this.

once again toothless fast bowling is our downfall...

we couldn't pick up enough wickets and when the slog overs came by we paid the price.

we need shoaib and sami opening our bowling and not these 125kph trundlers.

rao and tanvir might be decent first change .. but they are just not threatening enough with the new ball.

240-250 would have been chaseable. Hopes for Pakistan ? I would say 10% chance of winning. 90% chance of losing.

Rao with the new ball on Pakistani wickets was always going to turn on this way, we need some one with pace. Right now all our bowled bowl medium pace except for gul (some delieveries)
