Looks like both BD & PAK fans would be wishing - had it been a 4 day Test.....
 
And this lankan team is without mathews, imagine the state of pakistan if he was in the team :srini

What a horrendous performance by Pakistan. It's honestly shameful losing to this awful Sri Lanka team and at home.

he's great and one of my favorite but your acting as if he is some hybrid of Imran Khan and Garry Sobers

That is what I am saying, a bit of an intent in being proactive when they batted, this could have been avoided perhaps.

From the pitch to the side they selected, everything was wrong from the onset.

Mickey and co deserve this embarassing loss for the dismal decision to demote Azhar to 3 and the backing of a clear ******** Shan.

This is the worst type of wicket for PAK - would lose the series to SRL every time if they bat first & Herath remains fit. Home indeed & that's the tragedy ....
 
Amir has to take strike from Herath and Yasir from Dilruwan. Right now we have the wrong batsman batting to the bowlers.

honestly i think Mickey and co genuinely think Shan is a great prospect

maybe its the english or the gym work
 
Struggling against a mediocre lankan side and then some posters had a problem with some of us claiming that Indian test team is far ahead of Pakistan :)))
 
This is why in our history we've never been able to stay #1 for a prolonged period of time.

The mentality is so flaky under pressure, and we lose to teams we shouldn't do so. Even in the 90s we lost to Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka twice at home.

This is sickening, far worse than shelling 2 Tests to the West Indies.
 
Mickey might pull someone's hair out. Shame it cant be his own.

That 422 was based on 80+ from last 2 wickets, so not sure how intent could help.

My little understanding is - being host PAK went with 1 bowler for the wicket; SRL as tourist went with 3. That's what will happen if you pick the XI by a non Asian coach on such surface.

Tbh we are at par with lanka, may be slightly better...this reflects in ranking as well. People love to believe in delusions rather than the truth
 
Really pathetic. Same team couldn't even win series against Bangladesh team in its own ground. Without Misbah and Younis our team is really weak. I predict 2-0 loss to England

Guys we will still win this... I don't know what match are you guys watching. We have them right where we need them.
 
I had called this since yesterday, but people here were so deluded that they couldn't see this coming. Anytime pakistan are batting last on day 5 against herath, 9 out of 10 times, they will lose.

The Pakistanis just need to take one run at a time. Amir is the key here. Has balls of steel.
 
Even Thisara Perera can't save us from losing this one.

lets be honest

these claims were made around sep-oct 2016 and earlier. at that time Pakistan was clearly better

its been clear for past 6-8 months that India side is better than Pakistan ESPECIALLY now that the big 2 Misbah and Younis have retired

Love your optimism but lets be realistic here.
 
As soon as things start to look better, a couple of wickets fall. So, lets not get too excited.

No - you can check my post then as well. Any PAK team will be man handelled by Indian team in UAE - in fact, batting 2nd PAK will struggle against BD here. This is the worst type of condition I would have picked for a team like PAK & probably best for BD.
 
And there goes the full match. It shouldn't be wrong if I say congratulations, Sri Lanka...
 
Herath's record against PAK will probably remain the best ever.
