Yes Saifi is unquestionable, because the guy doing it turns around and opens a hundred threads in support of Shehzad who shouldn't even be in a domestic side let alone international.

Well 'Pep Guardiola' also called for dropping of Shehzad and Akmal... that didn't seem to happen.
 
Now lets put Babar's innings in perspective . . and ofcourse Shadab too!! This is an abysmal pitch . . A lot of people have said this before . . but UAE pitches are doing a lot of harm to Pakistan . . Even with winning . . Pakistan needs to be playing on pitches that are consistent with LOI pitches around the world where there are a lot of runs scored . . thats how we will learn to score big and score big while chasing! its about learning how to do it time and agian . . these pitches don't allow us to!
 
Sri Lanka's tail isn't great, Tharanga should be taking more of the strike.

Shadab and Hassan both have been gems for us. Rumman is also a pretty good find along with Fakhar (Hopefully one big knock from him in this series)

Thanks to the PSL and the draft system in few local tournuments a lot of talent has emerged and is gonna emerge.
 
Looks like Babar will be robbed off the MoM award again. I think this is the only instance in ODI history where a batsman has scored successive match-winning hundreds but didn't win the MoM award either time.

Couldn’t agree more with u... plus the slow out field in UAE barring Sharjah makes it worse. Sharjah only venue out of the 3 where u can expect scores of over 300 consistently...

Yeah but when you're a star that happens. People 'expect' that type of performance from them, so they have to something unbelievable to win it. Besides I think Shadab and Malik both deserve it for their respective matches.

Really don't think it matters that much when you're looking for wickets. Restricting runs matters more, mostly because Hafeez does so much better against left handers than right handers.

I think it's more to do with Sarfraz's style of captaincy. He likes bowling out his part timers if they're not going for much allowing him to keep his main/strike bowlers to the end if he needs it/keeps them fresher if he needs wickets near the end.

Did the same in CT final too, and was criticised a bit for it then.

Hahaha might be. But I think he is doing the role given to him pretty well and credif to management for keeping it simple for him and asking him to bat till the end.
 
I wonder, had Taranga been taken early, what would have been SRL's score now. This is the team that lost 3-2 at home to ZIM with Angelo, Dhana & Guna in the XI............... And MoHa, Malik, Sarfu, Imad, Ahmed made it 101/6 against same team batting first!!!!!!

Required run rate above 6. Will be tough as for Tharanga to do it alone.
 
I'd probably still give MOM to Babar. Getting a hundred on this pitch was pretty hard and without him Pakistan would have lost. While I think all the Pak bowlers bowled well (and the Sri Lankans bowled well too). And while Shadab did score a clutch 50, Babar's really was the one who held the innings together.
 
Tharanga is the only batsman Lanka have in ODIs.

Ideally, they'd share it.
 
Sarfraz is trying to establish the oldies here - may be he is instructed. If MoHa is to justify his spot as spinner who chucks bluntly, then PCB should call back Ajmal & tell him to go back to his old action - he'll kill many teams on such wickets.

Its 50 plus three wickets which makes Shadab a strong contender but Babar is definitely in the reckoning

Dont know who you are mixing me up with, my last thread asked for Shahzad to be dropped for Fahim, and Sarfaraz to open.

anyone who gives the slightest of support to Shahzad doesnt do it because they support the individual, its because they probably want the best for Pakistan.
 
The next generation of cricket fans will be so lucky to not see this umpire **, make use of technology and replace umpires, need games to be as fair as possible

Hafeez is cleared with his current action i think otherwise he would have been reported 6 months ago

So is Kusal Mendis. The only reason Tharanga is still out there is because of 5 chances. He doesn't even make the XI if Kusal Perera had not been injured.
 
Who is going to be MoM today? I tend to go for Shadab - not for his bowling only, but the composure he showed coming at 101/6, kid deserves some thing. It was his innings that allowed Babar to rebuild the innings.
 
Hasan Ali is the bowling version of virat kohli, is improving with each game and so is his fitness, similar to how kohli was starting out, was mediocre but had an excellent work ethic

I thought about Ajmal as well. He would have murdered teams on such slow wickets with his old action.

Don't tell me he cleared his action with his display in last 2 matches. ICC is cockless Ox, who won't allow it's umpires to call a PAK bowler against SRL - against IND, he bowled one over with his revised round arm action, which he used to pass the test - out of form UV spanked him for 14 coming at 30/3.
 
It's not just Lanka. Most teams would have struggled to chase this target on this pitch against this attack.

With 5 lefti & 3 in top 4, against this SRL today it would have been 10-2-25-6, unless others share the spoils, only 10 to get.

Good comparison, hopefully Hassan can achieve with his bowling what Virat has achieved with his batting.

Although Hassan has done something which Virat is yet to do and that is giving back to back match winning performances in ICC tournument

This is pathetic.

Makes me question if we won the first 2 games unfairly because of Hafeez and maybe Maliks economical chucking which put their batsmen under pressure and got other bowlers bulk of the wickets.

Don’t worry there’s no ICC tournament coming in next 2 yrs so all the Pak bowlers are safe for at least a year and a half..

Its not like all his deliveries are dodgy but some of them might be, hopefully he can work on it to get it better
 
A dangerous bowling attack is a lot more fun to watch than an explosive batting line up, me thinks.
 
Not sure what speed metre tells, but Hasan is bowling as fast as most I have seen. On this wicket, from his height, it takes Marshall like shoulders for that stiff lift.

They let Ajmal play the 2012, 2014 t20 world cups, 2013 CT, when he was clearly chucking.

ICC has no spine and is afraid of backlash.

Such a shame, I want us to win fair and square, not with the help of chuckers :facepalm:

With all due respect, I think only the umpires can determine comprehensively if an action is legal or not.

I always enjoy Pakistan's bowling more, never like to miss a match but when there is no other way I prefer to atleast watch our bowling. Such a joy to watch when in full form

They obviously are taught about chucking and reporting those cheat bowlers, if its obvious to us, why isn't it to them?

Fact is, the umpires, and ICC know who is chucking and who isn't, they simply have no spine.

You are talking a range between 25 degree to 50 degree. I don't need 3D images - with open eye anyone can say that the guy is chucking shamelessly. This is from round the wicket, where his dart is normalized a bit from the body twist - ask him to go over the wicket, he'll be between 35 to 65 degree.

As deluded as you want to be, rest of the fans want a fair game and ICC is ruining that part of the game for us.

There was hardly anything wrong with his action back then, it all started after 2014 World Cup coz of the work load he had to brunt those days.

Anyway, it’s futile to talk about that now but I assure u once the icc tournament would near you Wd see this happening again ..
 
Their actions look fine to me. Seems like bitter opposition fans and a bit of delusion taking control here.
