Pakistan vs Sri Lanka 2nd ODI: (SL Innings Updates)

gul getting spanked .. no surprise he isn't a very good ODI bowler --> he's much better suited for test cricket.
 
i think najaf should be tried instead of gul next match

and maybe fawad alam for abdul razzaq

Come on, just clean up the tail. Bring Sami back with his yorkers.
 
poor gul has come under pressure. he is a good bowler. he was not fielding well either. razzi have to bowl. he should have bowled earlier few overs as well.

i've never rated him highly as an odi bowler.

i really don't think he has an odi future ... he is a test specialist IMO.

Buck stopped with Inzi on this - Inzi had no confidence in Sami at all.
 
Think cricinfo and cricbuzz both are run by Indians, now they read the fate of the game, so all of sudden both sites stoped working.
 
this guy najaf is huge!

wonder what his batting is like cos he must have some incredible power in that frame
 
and with this victory pakistan are assured 3rd place in icc table no matter what happens 3rd match

Hence he was played again and again. The first time he was dropped was in england i think.

he is more like asif category. he can and will improve with time. should be developed properly to keep asif on toes.

shoaib and sami (attackers), asif n gul (line length), arfat n razzaq(all rounder) afridi n malik (part timer) kaneria depending on situation
 
Congrats pakistan on winning series, hopefully we can wrap up series 3-0 in last game.

144 kph is only 89 mph .. when sami was at his quickest he was 150+

Depleted SL, because Vaas, Murali and Sangakara were absent; what about Inzi, Younis, and Shoiab Akhtar absence?
 
true example of team work!!! credit goes to captain as well. wot ive seen in captain is.

dont panic too much compared to team
was aggresive today when put under pressure
tactically good. didnt took power play initally coz wanted to put more pressure on lanka. inzi might have thought "if match goes till end and i have power play?"
dont fear about what if. did wat was best in situations. eg couldnt waited for asif to bowl at end but brought him to take wkts and also start of power play. finish them here rather than waiting till end.

Rao for Sami - not taking anyway from Sami because I know he's played well but I want to see how Rao plays in these conditions.

pak team on paper was good than lanka simply more on talent but normally they r paper tigers. They have proven that thought wrong in this match. now lets see is their next performance more improved than this or its back to where they started
 
great example of team work good captancy but the bad thing is that this is not new for us we were always good on these dead pithes we shall have to learn the art of batting on green squres
if he get this problem solved he will be the most succesful captain after imran khan b/c by his this effort the whole idea of pakistan cricket will change

wot public wants?? do ur best!! obviously there r many factors involved when they play green top.

they constantly need to improve to start with and need a good coach. these guys just need guidance. u must have notices. all non asian teams when they play against pak. they go all out. absolutely smash every pak bowler coz they know under pressure they panic. we need a coach who can address this issue.
plus in batting when other teams block scoring shots of pak players they become confused coz then they have to use their minds to get out of pressure, they fail then. coach needs to address this issue as well.
and along with baseball coach guys need confidence n self belief that they can become a good fielding side. if coach can address this as well. pak team can challange australia!!!!!!!!!!!!1
 
This should ensure the likes of fawad, najaf and rehman get a chance in the dead rubber.
