In such placid pitches with no bouce, 130-132 km/hr fast bowlers will not have much impact. Certainly not if everything is gun barrel straight and no reverse swing on offer. What i fail to understand is why have our reverse swing skills deteriorated? What is Mohd Akram being paid for? The whole purpose of having a bowling coach was that the bowlers would atleast always do the basics right most of the times and would have guidance on how to bowl on different conditions. Sorry but this is the problem when you appoint an average bowler as your bowling coach.

This is where we have been spoilt with the legacy of Imran, Wasim, Waqar, Shoaib. Those guys were good enough to take the pitch out of the equation at their peaks.

Pakistani win now gone with the series. Sri Lanka have got over 300 and have done it very slowly. If we get a decent lead to bowl them out, probably won't be enough time to do it. Sri Lankan loss or win here.

This series really hurts to be honest. SL are a decent test team, but a test series loss in the UAE for the first time since Misbah started is hard to take. Thought we were at least good at home, but now teams are beating us there too.

Genuine fast bowlers hit 150s when fresh and fall to low to mid 140s as they tire.
