Typical again. Why drop faheem? What is the point of hafeez and malik in a dead rubber? All the youngsta beauties have performed but captain and coach keep selecting hafeez and malik. Very sad stuff.
 
Imad and Sarfraz needs to look after their bellies. Not looking good at all!
 
Shinwari is panting hard. Looks like he is tired. It is really hot out there.

Hafeez and Malik want their match fees? But I agree with you, the captain needs to show some guts and demand youngsters in the side, especially in dead rubbers.
 
Oh dear! Shinwari is sick. He needs to be given rest. 5 overs on a traught in this heat is too much.

It would help to know before slating the team management that Haris is injured, so who would you have replace Hafeez and Malik ?

Why do we need to play four seamers in the UAE with the inclusion of Ashraf ?
 
Why has Sarfraz go to give 5 over spell to a pace bowler in these conditions?
 
I live in Dubai and went for Juma..its scorching hot out there dunno how these guys are playing in the heat
 
I think it is a bit awkward for Hafeez to keep bowling after being called for suspect action.

Don't know why he's not chucking now, just goes to show that he himself knew he was chucking.

Just shows how much he was chucking. It was quite apparent throughout the first three ODIs.
 
Hafeez will be banned from bowling once again , better use the regular action in the remaining matches.
 
Pakistans fielding has ben below par today. Lucky to get the run out after poor fielding and throw. Sarf did well to collect the wild throw.

C'mon man why the hate for Imad?

He's not that bad. Very useful against right hand bats on the flat UAE pitches. Not to forget the #1 T20 bowler. He certainly demands some respect from the fans, no? I mean you can't blame him for performing well despite his "uselessness"

That trick doesn't work.

They compare your lab bowling action with the in-game action. You continue to bowl until you 100% match it. If not, you automatically fail the bowling test.

It doesn't reflect well on management that we're not giving Fahim some exposure and chance to develop, no one said he's a world beater but potential is key. Last time I checked we don't have a decent pace bowling A/R, how would you have the audacity to complain about a lack of one when we tour England next year when we're justifying his exclusion, that too in a dead rubber over a guy who most likely will be banned for chucking and an Imad who bowled just 1 over in the last game

Besides, Fahim actually bowled quiet well more recently. Imad is important to the ODI team I get that but if he's going to bowl 1 over and we have the services of Malik as well it wouldn't hurt to keep Fahim for this dead rubber if it's that hard to displace the spotlight hogging/ politicking professor

Shambolic running. Samarawickrama should know Imad is a wicket to wicket bowler and playing those sorts of shots are liable to get you into trouble against him.

Ofcourse it is possible. But i think if, after that, he is again called by the match referee within a stipulated time frame , he will be banned for a year.

I’m not hating. I’d just rather see Faheem in the team especially in this series vs a weak SL.

Imad is a good player but when chucking Hafeez is in the team he becomes “useless”. Also he is less effective against left handers which is what SL mainly have.

He's been terrible for the last year:

Bowling average of 60 odd and a batting average of 25.

Should also mention this is his first wicket since his two wickets against SA in the CT.

They ought to play in December and January when its a bit cooler in UAE - the pitches tend to have a bit more moisture and makes for better contests.
 
Crazy how we can do this much damage without our best bowler even bowling yet.

Have to agree on that. We should've kept Faheem in the side instead of Imad but then again we can't have 4 pacers in the UAE you know. I mean everyone knows what happened in Tests.

Exactly imad is the.worst player in the side which only needs 11 to complete its team. Sarfraz doesnt need anyone after hassan, hafeez,junaid & shadab. If anyone else fors the job its just a bonus. Imadis notlong term investment. Pak needs a pinchhitter which only faheem can do.

I can't fathom how anyone can give his wicket to Imad of all people, he's by far the most innocuous spin bowler I've ever seen, doesn't spin the ball one inch, mostly wicket to wicket gun barrel straight deliveries which can easily be negotiated by even club cricketers let alone international batsmen. Yet, for some mind-boggling reason he's no. 1 in T20s and find ways to pick up wickets in ODIs. However his wickets are more down to batsmen making silly fundamental mistakes than the actual quality of his bowling coercing batmen to commit mistakes.
 
I find ICC rules of bending your arm is stupid and irrelevant. They are not bowling 90mph deliveries. I think ICC should allow spinners to bowl around 18 degree. What makes a spinner special is when he has unique and different action. Now days cricket pitches are dead yet ICC wants to finish spinners off. I personally feel there is nothing wrong in Hafeez action, it is legitimate and sometime when u try to go for a wicket u tend to bowl such a length of degree to deceive the batsmen.

is this very harsh on batsmen or compliment for bowlers

Sarfraz needs to be careful with pacers. No more than 4 over spells in this weather.
 
The script for this game, like its predecessor, is easily predicable, SL struggle prodigiously against Pakistan's spin battery but somehow manage to reach 200 courtesy lower order contribution and Pakistan chasing it down without breaking a sweat. Another borefest on offer!
