I think he's bowled fairly well today to be fair on him. Would have been very easy earlier on to lose his nerve and get taken to pieces even more but he held it together with only a single full toss and no real half trackers.

Take the ery average one - Cheten Sharma, Sanjeev Sharma, Kirti Azad, Karson Ghavri; Manzoor Elahi, Akram Raza, Tahir Naqqas, Jalla Uddin, Iqbal Qasim; Andy Roberts, Holding, Bishop, Ambi; Lillee, Rogg, Lawson, Pascoe, Peter Taylor; Philipe Defritus, Gladstone Small, Willis, Embury, Graham Delley; Chatfield, Sneden, Breswell, ....... these players have almost shameful stats in ODI - each & every one 'll have 20/80 or better stats in this ere.

There are Maninders, Jafars, Reid, Aldermann, Morrison, Walshi - these will still have 3/30 stats even if I make 50 metres ground, because they couldn't hold the bat properly. But, the lower order batting in 70s & 80s was also quite good. Wasim, has won more meaninful matches with bat that MoHa can ever dream of - even WY won 2 vital matches - one at Lord's '92 & another Brisbane '99 (IND).

The game has gone into such level that we simply can't match numbers between 2 generations.

That is the teams performance and malik can't be blamed for that.

I am saying malik is not carrying his own weight in the team though.

being the most experienced player he should be able to bat better than he has in the first three matches.
