Why does Pakistan mission have 500-600 people in India? What exactly do they do? I'm assuming most of them are ISI agents pretending to do something else. Should be sent home if they don't like it here.
Similarly India should downsize its mission in Pakistan. Keep it to a minimum.

Indian high commission staff in Pakistan don't exactly get treated like honored guests there and fed biryani and kulfi. They're constantly harassed too by the ISI goons.
Moreover, a Pakistani newspaper is not exactly the most reliable source of news on such topics. Probably fake news.

It has nothing to do with you being Indian or not. What im trying to say is that, two enemy nations always use diplomatic mission as a mode to send their spies. It started in cold war era when Russia and US used to send spies and had stand off which is what we are seeing these days between Pakistan and India. Like I said in my post above, both nations need to restructure their high commission and cut down on number of staff. You really to ask yourself, why does Pakistan high commission have more than 500 staff.
Trying to teach Indians how to make better Biryani? it is a serious matter.
I do not know, maybe that is a required number.

Report mentions last 3 days. Getting stopped twice for a few minutes isn't something to cry about.
Both nations should cut their staff to about 20. After all there are very limited trade ties etc. between these two nations. When their relationships gets better, the number of staff can increase accordingly.
Indian nationalist are fed the worse form of propaganda related to Pakistan.

I'd say India needs 25 in Pak, and Pak needs 5 in India. After all very few, if any, Indians want to visit Pak. But Pak has this long line of people wanting to get medical treatment in India. Need staff to process their visas.

As an Indian I am ashamed of the way we have treating Pakistan and it's citizens these days. This is not the country I grew up in. Things were great under Congress. We fought real battles with Pakistan but maintained class in dealing with them outside battle field. ISI raids indian diplomat's residences. Cuts off power and water supply and they want to be respected in india?
" A group of 7-8 men raided the residential complex last month and disconnected the electricity and water supply to the property which is owned by India. Indian high commissioner Ajay Bisaria met the Pakistan foreign secretary on February 16 to strongly protest such "multiple acts of hooliganism" against Indian staff and property. Indians have little reason to visit Pakistan. I assume some Pakistanis wish to come to India for medical treatment. I would say that we should reduce the diplomatic staff to the bare minimum, there is nothing to be gained and only headaches.

Article 30 of Vienna convention says that a diplomats residence in INVIOABLE. Pakistani agencies cannot enter any diplomats house or his workplace. Then again international laws are of little use to a country that shelters people like OBL or Hafiz Saeed or Taliban.

The reason Pakistanis want to visit India will be mostly for heritage purposes, they have a strong sense of history and the land which used to belong to all under the Mughal sultanate. Indians perhaps have a diminished sense of the country and that is why they have less interest in those areas which are now Pakistan or Bangladesh. This is what I meant by Modi being a shadow of the great BJP leaders who preceded him with their vision of Akhand Bharat.
I wonder if their "strong sense of history" extends to Africa too, given that we all came from there?
Whatever their sense of history may be, if these countries cannot be civil to each other then they need forget about visiting India. Rather Pakistanis should extend their sense of history even stronger and visit Afghanistan which along with Pakistan was a part of the Maurya Empire.
Why stop at Pakistan and Bangladesh? The Maurya Empire extended to Afghanistan and beyond.
Shadow? Not having a stupid idea makes one a "shadow"? All Akhand Bharat would do is to make a civil war break out between 40% Muslim population and 50% Hindu population. Rather have the economic development for current India like Modi wants than a failed state with civil war.

Although the general election in India is due early next year, political parties and players are already forming alliances and strategies in the run-up to 2019.
Hardline Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a member of the right-wing Bharatiya Janata Party, who was elected in 2014 has the highest personal approval ratings currently, according to the Times of India, with nearly 90 per cent of Indians holding a favourable opinion of him.
However, analysts have warned that the snatching away of a handful of seats from the BJP ─ which currently rules 21 of India's 29 states ─ by opposition parties in by-polls last year, may be an indication that anti-incumbency may factor into the next Indian general election.

Conditions for Indian diplomats are so bad that way back in 2016 families of Indian diplomats were evacuated out of Pakistan.

My father also served as a diplomat in india. ANd no, he never did any corruption. Got in the civil services through the CSS exams and was promoted based on performance and got foregin posting based on ranking.

I honestly, dont get why an avg Pakistanis are so mad about who we select as our PM. I mean i dont really care who is Pm in your country, not my concern. But you guys seemed to be so butt hurt.
