I've heard from some British-Pakistanis that are some differences in terms of education, wealth, and even traditions between Pakistanis in Northern England and the South, how true is that?

Hmm I heard its more like Mirpuris vs rest of Pakistan origin folks (who mostly happen to be Punjabi)

I think the bigger divide is between those from Mirpur and the Potohar part of Punjab, vs those from the central part of Punjab.

I always thought a lot of wealthy Pakistanis live in London. One just has to look at the Poverty figures of Scotland and London to see how well Central Punjabis are doing.
Ill save you the hassle as I am sure you have read them
In London and Scotland Central Punjabis are not only the least in employment they are once in employment the least paid too.
In London especially housing benefits and Council houses are the norm for most ethnics.
How do Pakistanis in the midlands fare, are they considered closer to the people in Northern England or the south.

They are closer to the North as they are less likely to live on housing benefits and live in low income house holds

Can you tell where in England a Pakistani grew up by their mannerisms and accent? In America despite being such a large country, most of us have pretty much have the same accent so I can't tell where somebody grew up but I assume its different in England?
Generally Pakistanis in London and the South as a whole are much less likely to live in a deprived area than the ones in the North and Midlands are.

Though Pakistanis in Scotland are also less likely to live in a deprived area.

Accents Yes but mannerisms no despite what many say if you go to places like Manningham, Cheetham Hill, Pollock Shields Ilford etc many will behave the same.
Infact when I have told young lads from places lile Cheetjam Hill pollock sheilds ilford etc some state how much rougher there area is than Bradford. Gunchester is a popular term.
Now post the poverty figures lol especially about how 50% of all low income households in outer london live in low income households compared to 20% up North and the Midlands and its 70% for inner London
Also post the one about how 50% of all house holds in outer London are on Housing benefits.
Also post the poverty figures of Scotland in regards to Pakistanis lol.
Can't really say, people from ajk in my opinion are not really that different from pothwaris, they are all punjabies just different dialects and accents. I read somewhere most people from ajk are jatts, Gujars and rajputs and they can be found all over punjab central, North or south.
Are you from musakhel, balochistan?
Are most of the Karachi and Sindhi people concentrated in London?

Also In Huddersfield Leeds to a lesser extent and places around Manchester except Oldham and the North East despite what you may read in Wiki or elsewhere they are a very large % of Central Pubjabis.
Plus Bradford Burnley Oldham Birmingham etc also have a very large percentage of Chaachis and Pathans.
Should of read how 50% of Outer London and 70% of inner london whom live in low income households are ethnics.
What's Chaachis?
lolwut?
You cant tell by the accent which part of America one grew up?
Boston accent is totally different from New York (which has several sub accents). Southern accents is totally different as well (with further sub accents between the areas in Bible belt and ones just outside). Similarly in midwest it has a different sound to it
Get outta your bubble man
You do know that 60% of London's population as a whole is made up of 'ethnics', don't you? Therefore, that means they make up the same proportion of those in low income households in the city as is their overall percent population in the city.
What are the stats for Bradford, out of curiosity?
Nevermind, I found some stats:
Child poverty is concentrated in the inner-city and urban areas of the District. In 2014,
approximately half of all children living in poverty in the District have been found to live in 8 of
the District’s 30 wards: Little Horton, Bradford Moor, Bowling and Barkerend, Manningham,
Toller, Tong, Great Horton and City wards.
The most recent national child poverty data for 201417 (published September 2016) reported a
child poverty rate of 28.6% for Bradford District, compared to 20.1% for England – with 41,000
children and young people aged 0 – 19, living in households with less than 60% of average
(median) income. In 2014, the District’s child poverty rate was second highest in the Yorkshire
and Humber region – Hull had the highest rate.

I grew up in the bible belt, those accents you mentioned are exaggerated in movies and stuff, they aren't that strong (if it at all), it's very rare to hear a millennial talk like that especially if their first generation. Most people just have that neutral Midwestern accent you hear in the news, anyways we're going off track.
* I was talking about Pakistani-Americans, white people might have stronger accents cause they have deeper roots here.
Apparently mirpuris pull down the income and educational stats of Pakistani community in Britain
Source: Many British Pakistanis
oh perhaps youre right about that
but for most 3rd, 4th generation folks you can tell which part they are from by their accent for the most part

I've spent time in Boston and that accent is incredibly strong among the locals. You notice it in seconds and its quite amusing too.
New York is definitely exaggerated in the movies. To the point its downright unrealistic.
