Have you ever seen a tour match (not featuring England) shown on skysports?

No.

Looking forward to this - I'd be over the moon if one of the youngsters make a instant impact despite it being a warm up only.

Let's hope the weather doesn't ruin the game either - cannot simply wait! :D

The odds on a youngster making an instant impact are pretty high since we've come to this tour with so many young fellows. I'm looking forward to see Junaid bowl!

Pakistan's tour of West Indies begins on Monday (18 April 2011) with the match between Pakistan XI and the University of West Indies Vice Chancellor's XI (UWI VC XI). Pakistan is due to play one T20, 5 ODI and 2 Test matches on the tour.

West Indies and Pakistan have already announced the squads for the one-off T20 and ODI series with the focus on young players. On both sides, some of the senior players were either rested or dropped and there is a possibility some of them could return for the Test series.

Monday's tour match would let Pakistan test some of their new faces and help the touring side to decide on their final eleven for the T20 matches due to take place on 21 April at the Beausejour Stadium, Gros Islet in St Lucia.

UWI VC XI will feature some young players as well as those who are out of the national side for bad performances. These players would like to put in some good performances to attract the attention of the national selectors.

Time of the Tour Match

The limited-over match begins at 10:00 local time and 14:00 GMT. According to Pakistan time, the match starts at 19:00.

Venue

The match will take place at the Beausejour Stadium of Gros Islet in St Lucia, the same venue for the T20 and first two ODI matches.

Pakistan would like to have some good practice ahead of a number of important matches in all three formats. On the other hand, their opponents would like to perform at their best to cause an upset and prove their talent.

Correction: Match is not being played at Beausejour Stadium, it will be played at Mindoo Phillip Park ....

I dont think that cricinfo would give the ball by ball live coverage of this game, I am in touch with management of Pakistan team and will try to bring the latest updates for PP

Hopefully Junaid and Sadaf get a game and impress, and Misbah better be rested today otherwise it will be a waste.

Should be interesting to see what happens today. Hopefully Hammad and Junaid play and play impressively in front of the locals. The team needs a good run out today. Keep the updates coming guys. Much appreciated. Come on "young blood. " First impressions on this tour are vital.

Why is Usman not playing and Taufeeq umar batting number 3???????????????????????????

he didn't even want to go on the tour, obviously he's not going to play any side games. :afridi

This is not the first time he has skipped warm up games.

I remember I went to go and watch one last summer and Salman Butt was leading the side instead.

The Pakistani crowd were disappointed.

No but Hafeez, why him? Misbah shouldve captained but he's resting aswell.

Who else could captain if both Afridi & Misbah were having rest as expected in many ways?

Hafeez is the next best choice.

Common sense really.

Calm down just because :afridi is not playing you cannot control yourself.

Calm down!

Any scorecards??
Cricinfo will only give the scorecard after the game has ended. (results, like they do with domestic matches)
Radio?

Nothing?
