The boys play 11 Tests this year. 4 against England, 3 with WI, 2 in NZ, then 2 more in Australia (put that one under 2017 because most of the tour takes place then).

This will be followed by 10 Tests next year.

Exciting few months, iA!

Seems like two terrible years of performances await us.

You guys do realise you have 2 ODI's vs Ireland in August right?? :/

Jesus we're not even worthy of being on the bloody fixture list

No way will we play 4 tests against West Indies

It's in the FTP.

My bad, it's not a part of the FTP.

Someone please add this alongside the England tour in the OP Abdullah719

Yes I know but I just don't see it. Would be happy if we do though. We need to arrange more 3 test series matches

The limited overs leg of the NZ tour was in January. Aren't we just playing 2 Tests and no LOIs against New Zealand this year? That's what it says in the FTP.

Where'd you see the FTP?

Square Drive exciting 2 seasons ahead and i guess next year we ll start with a new test captain

Yep, playing a 4 match Test series is indeed quite rare for us, but I'm hopeful it'll work out this time.

Added to the OP. :)

Cheers mate!

Something wrong with that I think, Blackcaps website only says 2 Tests. http://www.blackcaps.co.nz/schedules/fixtures/international/pakistan

Figured it out.

Read again, Pakistan play 5 ODI and 3 T20s in the 2017-2018 season.

That is correct. The dates for the limited overs matches haven't been stated yet but I think it's in late 2017. Have updated OP.

All (so far) confirmed fixtures for Pakistan can also be found here: http://www.pakpassion.net/fixtures/pakistans-international-schedule.html

Yep, I got the LOI fixtures off that PP thread that I linked you to, though that did not list the dates for the LOI fixtures. In the FTP, it did not mention LOIs anywhere, either, neither did it on Cricinfo.

Seems the LOIs will be some time in late 2017 or early 2018 as you guys have mentioned, and once it's confirmed (even the time frame), I'll ask the mods to update the OP.

Cheers Abdullah for updating the OP.

Yep, expecting Azhar to take the captain's armband from the WI tour onwards.

I dont get the general pessimism. Cant you feel it? There's something exciting bound to happen right around the corner for pakistan cricket. Some unlikely hero is going to emerge because of these tours I can almost sense it. Very excited regardless. So glad we're gonna see some proper cricket by Pakistan team beyond the subcontinent.

Sums up how bad PCB is. The West Indies series is only 3 months away yet the schedule has not been released, whereas England have already released schedule for the 2017 summer which is still a whole year away.

Abdullah719 #GreenRoars any news on the PAK v WI fixtures, guys?

I read on twitter that the schedule will be announced this week but not sure how reliable

Kind of correct - in that we should have been more optimistic, the scoreline is 2-2 not a 3-1 drubbing and that we have unearthed Sami Aslam after his brief dalliance last year.

Seen people asking for our FTP for next year and bumping old threads, so just bumping this one, which has it all for 2017.

Please update the OP with the dates for the WI tour.

So next 3 tours/assignments after the PSL are WI, CT, and Bangladesh.

Abdullah719 please update the OP buddy.

Just the SL series now for the rest of the year.

a couple of months before the NZ series. But between the SL and NZ series, players will be involved in the BPL + Global T20 League as well as Pakistan domestics.

As well as the potential t20s against Windies.

Is our booking this year the result of unbalanced FTP allocations, incompentence by the PCB, or something else? Waited months for the SL series, now there are few more months until NZ series, and then a long break before england series in the summer. Meanwhile India is playing game after game mostly home but now also doing an away tour of NZ. What's going on here?

It was booked but the India and BD series never happened which is not pcb's fault..

Does anyone know why Bangladesh doesn’t want to play us, It’s pretty clear why India doesn’t want to play us but what’s Bangladesh’s problem?

Politics.

PCB wanted them to play in Pakistan but they refused. PCB has repeatedly said that they can't host BCB at a neutral venue because the tour would incur too much of a loss for them.

They keep saying this but I don't really understand how playing BD would draw in any less crowd than SL or WI. If anything, there are probably more Bengalis in the UAE than jamaicans or west indians so we'd sell more away tickets. Either way, it's unfortunate that our series are so limited Summer 2016-Summer 2017.Wonder if it will have any long term effect on the players as everyone else will be busy with their tours
