What were we doing from 2010-2015? Smh

Mohammd Hafeez
Ahmed Shehzad
Younis Khan
Asad Shafiq
Misbah-ul-Haq
Umar Akmal
Shahid Afridi
Wahab Riaz
Umar Gul
Saeed Ajmal
Mohammad Irfan

This is an XI comprised of the players who played the most number of ODIs from the start of 2010 to end of 2015.

Fakhar Zaman
Sharjeel Khan
Babar Azam
Haris Sohail
Sarfraz Ahmed (captain + wk)
Mohammad Hafeez
Imad Wasim
Shahid Afridi
Mohammad Amir
Wahab Riaz
Shaheen Shah Afridi

I didn't rate Sarfraz's captaincy but he was far superior to Shahid Afridi, Misbah and Azhar Ali as captain. Unlike his predecessors, at least he won a trophy as well.

It's a shame we never tried out Amir or Imad Wasim before this year's WC.

I didn't include Saeed Ajmal because of his chucking.

Got to say, that is an awful looking team. Just goes to show how horrific the Pakistani ODI team was for most of the decade.

Most of the standout talent (Babar, Imam, Fakhar, Haris, Shaheen, Shinwari, Imad) didn't really come / get established till the end of the decade.
Other promising players (Amir, Sharjeel, Umar Akmal) had other issues

That is sad.

Haris’s 2 World Cup innings better than misbahs whole career as an odi player

Just like test team of decade littered with same TTFs. A fluke CT win otherwise a pretty poor side.

Stats wise excluding minnows i bet most of our bilateral odi series wins came against SL and WI

Pakistan in last decade in bilateral series vs england, Australia, New zealand and south Africa

21 series played - 2 wins, 1 draw 18 losses

Pakistan vs SL, bangladesh and WI in bilateral series

13 Series played - 10 Wins 3 losses

I think stats tell you everything.

A wasted decade bar that CT win and Babars development . Mediocre is the best way to summerise this decade.

Pace bowling options are really lacklustre and not really aspiring.

The best team we have had in last 10 years for me in this format who made some sort of difference or left any mark
Are who have played longer than 3 years for me at least are as it’s team of decade

hafeez ( gave so much to the team with this all round performance, just now to be deemed illegal)
Fakhar ( to add more fire power and eventual trump card)
Afridi (should have never shyed away from
Opening, just was too lazy :/, no captain had courage to burden him with this role, wasted him lower down in the hope of nurturing someone else to take the role of power hitting)
Babar
Misbah (Captain)
Umar Akmal (only politics played role in his failures, stats don’t lie has to be in our team.)
Sarfraz
Wahab
Saeed Ajmal (only if he didn’t get banned the whole story in WC15 would have been so different)
Amir

Just after this I don’t know which fast bowlers to use which shows the lack of pace I can think of Umar Gul now, Amir who missed a whole chunck of 5 years tho obviously.

If we had may be only if we had naseem and shaheen earlier wishful thinking around Xmas I guess

So the remaining spot goes to Irfan for his awkwardness and major height boost not that it won us anything :/.

Extremely harsh . Misbah played well in 2011 and 2015 World Cup . He averages 50 in World Cups!

he also had a SR of 74 in those WCs, which completely negated the average of 50

I would rather have Haris's average of 35 with SR of 85

Afridi's ODI captaincy was acceptable. I also wanted to appoint a strong leader with superstar status. Afridi fits that role.

Sarfraz does not make it as his peak was very short and he barely did anything of note in ODIs. Aside from one CT win (thanks to Fakhar, Azhar, and Hassan), Sarfraz produced one of the worst results as captain.

Sharjeel does not make it due to spot-fixing. He had the recent examples of Aamir, Butt, and Asif but that did not stop him.
