I guess bcoz some of these Pakistani players still aspire to play for Pakistan & often play in T20 leagues like Shoaib Malik, Kamran Akmal, Wahab Riaz

.they just play from memory. There won't be any serious strategies to get players out. In real match Malik will be peppered with short pitched stiffs. Active players who are still hopeful of finding a spot in national XI may do well against Dibble doubbly studfs.

We can talk about the opposition being old men, and I take the Doc’s point about pressure resulting in self-obsessed stats chasing. However one glaring difference ive seen in this match is bat-speed. Sharjeel, Sohaib’s bat-speed is light years ahead of our regular team. Even Akmal to a lesser extent. Yes theee guys may be over the hill, but it is truly astonishing how poor our current team is in terms of bat speed. It’s like slow motion.

You are confusing here, Maqsood is an aggressive batter, he has transformed his game completely back in 2020 and 2021 PSL. He should have been a permanent member of the ODI squad at least.

I think you're confused as I never said any of these things.

The whole argument is that Pakistan has had talent over the years like fakhar, Maqsood etc etc and all of them are genuine six hitters who in their time has scored, Fakhar is doing it now and maqsood on debit scored 2 back to back 50's and an 89 against a quality sa opposition.

However after having a dip in form rather then figuring out how to improve these players, Misbah decided to shove Maqsood to no 7 for Asad shafiq of all people and falhar to no 4 for rizwan.

That's the issue with misbah and babar, impact players are shoved to no 7 because apparently no 7 is the hitting area but talentless morons who are impactless get key positions.

What benefit do you gain from improving impactless players?

This oldies league has an infinitely better structure then our current team.

Better captain, top order that tries to utilise the PP, a stable Middle order backed by good finishers and a good balance of spin and pace.

While current Pakistan has a nill spin department, Non PP openers, A completly dysfunctional MO and horrible pacers
