Apart from Fakhar and Haris, the actual batting (who play for team), starts after 6.

Shadab
Faheem
Hassan

And today Yamin and Nawaz.

Why can't the top order play for the team?

It's easy to score runs when the match is lost and you can play shots without fear.

That's what the modern game is..

Play shots without fear.

One or two accumulators at max.

This team can afford Haris and Babar as accumulators. Not more than that .

Again just speaking with out any logic,,,,It was not fear it was ability, haris sohail and shadab are better players than the others.

Oh, those two batted well to rebuild, I mean't the others who started swinging once Haris and Shadab were out.

But if u analyze it sohail and Shadab both were playing sensibly and calculative.it was santers brilliance that undone them otherwise they could have done it.

This is true but the match was hardly lost. Pakistan had 10 batters today and everyone knows they all can bat. It wasnt like tail enders were batting.

Babar along with 3 seniors needs to be dropped. Amir has nothing to offer with the ball, Shehzad, Umar are not good enough. Hasan and Sadab needs to handle properly.

NZ held off after 5 down as they thought the match was over and went with their usual motions to give everyone a bowl. They didn't go for the kill and finish the match. Towards the end they looked to blast Pakistan out instead of sticking to their death bowling plans and forcing mistakes.

This is not a new issue.

We saw in CT top order collapsing vs India and SL.

Then we saw in UAE when Bobby And Shaddy saved us.

It needs to be addressed.

Not saying Pakistan couldn't have survived it's just that Kane obviously held off as he wanted to have the front line bowlers for the death. McCullum in the same position would have looked to have gone for the kill and finish the match, Kane let it drift.

Thats just your theory.

It starts at Sarfraz actually. His fan girls wait to bump the threads on PP of the other batsmen who fail but won't dare to bump Sarfraz Sher-dil's.

Fakhar
Amin/Farhan (if he has a good PSL)
Babar
Haris
Sarfraz
Shadab
Faheem
Nawaz/Yamin (Depending on conditions)
Amir
Hassan
Junaid/Shinwari

Bench: Some WK, Rumman, Imam, Talat

Thoughts??

Looks good, but Babar should open with Fakhar or not be in the team. Ahmed Mukhtar and Sahibzada are good choices too. Haris should play at 3.

The likes of Hasan Ali and Shadab Khan should mentor the top order.

I agree with this. Though i do think Shadab has a lot of talent with the bat, actually looks like he can build an innings.

I think all of them shadab, yamin, fahim and nawaz look great for no.8. and with pakistan’s weak batting id like one more good bat for the tail apart from just shadab. If our third pacer options are roughly the same, the better bat would suit us.

I dont think any are good enough for 7. Teams like nz and others have players averaging high 30s at great SRs at 7. i dont think these lot are capable of that, theyre not batsmen. Its different getting a quick 20 down the order.

All I see are various contenders for the 8th slot (except shadab who makes it ball alone hence should be able to slot in at 9) who’s batting is good enough and bowling isnt. Its a problem but id still probably take a better bowler over these guys who’s a worse bat at 8/9. Just not sure he exists atm, so these guys could be the best we have.

Id like some good middle order bats with great domestic records to come in to replace hafeez, malik and take the 6th and 7th places.

its just a matter of time.. when we get our combinations right, we'll improve for sure..
