Plenty of big games and battles between these two sides but most of the time Australia had the upper hand notable victories 1987 WC SF, 1999 WC Final, 2010 T20 WC SF, 2021 WC SF all important games won by Australia.

In Test cricket its mostly one sided with Pakistan bottling a lot of games.

Sou only achievement against the might AUSSIES is that 3 match ODI series in Australia, heck if it was a 5 match we might have lost it as well.

Pakistan won 2-1

Plenty of stuff available on Youtube.

Such short ODI series have fine margins and can go either way.

Even New Zealand beat Australia in a 3 match ODI series just before the 2007 World Cup only to see Australia win their 3rd tournament in a row a few short weeks later.

Pakistan's biggest achievement is that they went on to win the World Cup 20 years ago in Australia's backyard only. That alone makes up for all the failures.

World T20 Tournaments are not relevant enough so they shouldn't be taken seriously. It is a format inaugrated by ICC to fetch $$$, in reality it downgrades the quality of cricket.

When pakistan under misbah won against the aussies in uae

Beating Australia in UAE in 2014 was a bigger achievement.

Beating Australia by 221 and 356 runs was special. One of the most dominant series wins in history. A shame it was only a 2 match series.

Pakistan came into the series after getting whitewashed in Sri Lanka and the recent performances in UAE were unimpressive as well.

Sri Lanka nearly won the series in UAE in January 2014 and South Africa drew 1-1 in November 2013.

Australia came into that series having won the Ashes and also beat South Africa away, so that thrashing in UAE was special.

It was also Pakistan’s first Test win against Australia since 1996.

Winning the ODI series against the legendary Australian side was great but is easy to fluke a 3 match series.

Aussies have dominated pak overall in the last 30 years.

Even a decling aussie team would have our number.

Pak record in Australia is one of the worst in cricket. Its a place they should stop touring

Yes Pakistan's any victory against Australia is an anamoly let alone a series win

Pakistan won a test against Australia in 2010

The test series win in UAE will remain the biggest achievement for me against Aus. Pure dominance, the way they treat us when we go down under. Misbah scored the fastest test ton and Younis just toyed with them, he was so good in those two matches.

UAE series are good but that Odi Series was down under in unfavorable conditions really proud achievement it was some Super Challenge Series

Pakistan won a test against Australia in 2010

Correct - that 2 Test series in England was not short of any drama but I keep forgetting about it thanks to the events that unfolded in the England series.

We also beat them 2-0 in 2018 :)

Not 30 years ago but in 1983 or 1984 Pakistan beat Australia in test series at home under Imran Khan.

For me the 1994 test series in Pakistan was a huge achievement. A 1-0 series win but that doesn't tell the entire story.

1st test thriller in Karachi where the proud home record unbeaten record was kept in tact with a 1 wicket win when all seemed lost. 50 run last wicket partnership between Inzi and Mushy was epic.

2nd test Again backs to the wall but a brilliant 5th day knock from Salim Malik - double century helped secure an unlikely draw.

3rd test was also a draw but achieved without Waqar or Wasim.

This was a stud Australian line up - Waugh twins, Shane Warne and McGrath. For me Pakistan's finest achievement against the Australians.

We completely destroyed them in the UAE - thrashed them in 3 out of 4 tests and the one they saved they were 8 wickets down. They were nowhere near us. Pretty much a reverse of what we are used to seeing when we tour Australia, with the exception of that infamous Sydney test which we should have won.

Slightly before most of our time but the 1976/77 drawn Test series in Australia under Mushtaq Mohammad is an underrated achievement.

That Australian team with Lillee and Thompson bulldozed England in the 1974 Ashes and world champions West Indies 5-1 in 1975/76.

Since 90's, these were some notable performances from Pakistan against Aussies:

- Tri-series win in Australia in the 90's (Carlton & United Series 1996/97).
- 2-1 win over an ATG Australia team in Australia (2002).
- Ending Australia's 27-match World Cup winning streak (2011 World Cup).
- Beating Australia in UAE 2-0 (2014 Test series).
- Beating Australia in UAE 1-0 (2018 Test series).
- Whitewashing Australia in a T20 series in 2018 (UAE).

That Super Challenge Cup 2002
Aussie lineup
Hayden Gilchrist Ponting Waugh Waugh Bevan Watson Bichel Warne Lee McGrath

A stuff of legends

For me the 2014 whitewash was far more special than any single game or series we beat them in, in the last two decades.

The series was just a complete annihilation of a very good Australian side. Could have been on the level of the annihilation of England in 2012 if the series had another test but still very memorable.

Pakistan's top-order dominated, Chacha Zulfiqar ran through the Aussies, IIRC Yasir Shah announced himself for the first time in that series and then ofcourse there was Misbah's demolition job smashing the fastest test hundred at Abu Dhabi. It didn't even matter that our front-line seamers were Rahat Ali and Imran Khan Sr.

To add to list, the group stage victory in 99 world cup and the neutral test victory in England with Amir and Asif blowing away their batting.

Among the worst ones I would count sharjah test where we got all out around 50 twice and another painful ones syndey debacle and 99 final.

When UAE king took his team to Australia in 2016, he lost all three tests with big margin and scored a grand total of 76 runs in 6 complete innings with only one double figure score . In comparison Mohammad Amir scored 118 runs and Sohail Khan scored 76 but in only 2 innings compared to Misbah's 6 innings . So MIsbah was worst than tail enders but refused to retire.

Pakistan have some proud achievements against Aussies.

Starting with not allowing Australia to win a single Test in Pakistan for 39 years is a significant victory.
1959-1998.
Yes 4 generation of Australian cricketers did not win a single Test match in Pakistan.

Beating them at Perth in 1992 workd cup crucial match.

Beating them in 1990 Australasia cup final

And ending their run in world cup wins in 2011 group stage match.
